Review Asus Eee PC 1215T Netbook

The Second Try. In the Eee PC 1215T, Asus releases a new AMD netb

The chic design and good manufacturing.; Interface circumference (HDMI); Large touchpad and keyboard; Convincing AMD hardware; Good emissions; HD rendering

TFT not AR coated; Poor display rates; Loudspeaker quality; High-gloss bezel; Stiff mouse replacement keys; Poor scope of delivery

Small netbooks or subnotebooks with CULV hardware. Among others, the Asus Eee PC 1215N with a ION 2 graphics unit, the Asus Lamborghini VX6 Eee PC with a dual core processor, the smaller Acer Aspire One 521 netbook with similar equipment and the Asus...

Asus EeePC 1215T Netbook: A Catchy One

The Asus EeePC 1215T belongs to the Seashell series and it is not powered by an Intel Atom processor, which is common to most netbooks. However, it still is a 12-inch netbook that offers a small form factor, light weight, portability and good battery...

The 1215T has 2 GB RAM, a 320 GB hard drive, a 12.1-inch glossy screen and graphics is courtesy an ATI Radeon HD 4250. Display options include an HDMI and a VGA port, and there are 3 USB ports, a Kensington lock slot, audio jacks and a webcam....

Asus Eee PC 1215T

A 12-inch netbook that puts regular 10-inch netbooks to shame with its performance, meet the new Asus Eee PC 1215T.

12-inch widescreen display ; Faster processor, dedicated graphics ; Better performance than most netbooks ; Can play both 720p and 1080p HD video; HDMI port included ; Instant-ON ExpressGate OS

Below-par keyboard design and feedback ; Touchpad button takes time getting used to ; Mediocre battery life

The Asus Eee PC 1215T is a 12-inch netbook which offers greater performance, larger screen compared to Intel Atom-based netbooks currently available in the market. It can also play 1080p HD video files and comes with an HDMI port. However, it has a...

Budget + Performance = Asus 1215T

It's on the pros and cons already. So just to sum it all up this is a good laptop for indoor users who wants to relax or just do something with their files.

HD video playback(quite good) ; Easy to use keyboard ; Touchpad support multi touch(which is very good and responsive) ; Ports... NO PROBLEM with this... HDMI, 3 USB ports, ethernet port ; 12.1 inch screen (1366x768 pixels)

Loudspeakers aren't quite good. (Mostly treble, bass aren't really good) ; Battery life (3-5 hours depending on usage) ; Glare type screen (which is really disappointing for outdoor use)

Will not buy Asus agin

I am shopping for a replacement, but I doubt it will be an Asus laptop.

It worked well until it would not display a BIOS message and the hard drive starting making the click of death sound

I would rate this laptop higher except that it lasted only a little over two and half years. It was a gift to my mother and the laptop never left her house, so it was not bumped around nor subjected to extreme enviroments

great netbook

I bought this for the wife as she went back to school and she loves it. When the PS3 was down we used the HDMI for Netflix which I thought was great. After several months there are no complaints except for the mouse buttons. I find it hard to use bt...

12.1" screen is good size for a netbook. HDMI and 4 USB ports are nice. Battery life is good at 3 - 4 hours of normal use

The only negative is the mouse buttons. Small and hard to click

Worth the price

really love the bluetooth. easier for me to upload pictures with any kind phone. win7 runs smooth.

great spec for netbook with this low price. works prefect on win7 untimate with office 2010, boot takes less than 1 minute. my cell phone can even use as remote over bluetooth, really suprised me

express gate really can't do anything for me ; also sound system doesn't work in express gate ; battery life is around 4~4 1/2 hours instead 6 hours ; little laggy on word editing

Interesting netbook

WD hard drive shipped with an APM (power management) value of 96, which causes the heads to park (or drive to spin down) every 2 seconds or so. Noisy and lowers performance greatly, so I suggest disabling APM, except when on battery power.

Great looking screen. A touch brighter around the edges from backlight bleed, otherwise even. Ten steps of brightness ; HDMI ; Zippy for its class. Compares very favorably to even a dual-core Atom, IMO ; Tiny, lightweight ac/dc adapter ; You don't have...

Noisy, always on fan, with no apparent ACPI exposure to lower speed ; Terrible touchpad buttons. Hard to press, mushy, noisy ; New Broadcom wireless means binary only drivers in Linux. (although open drivers are in the works) ; Pitiful built in...

Amazing Purchase

I purchased this because my primary laptop is a monster - at 17 inches and over 9 lbs. It's a pain to lug around, so I wanted something more portable. I mainly use this netbook for the Web, music, and Microsoft Office. I can have Word, Chrome, and...

After making recommended changes for netbook optimization, this is running incredibly well. CPU usage is stable and I barely make a dent in the 2GB RAM, even with multiple applications running ; Design: This netbook looks really nice. The matte finish...

I don't really like the power button - it's depressed in such a way that you need to press it just right in order for the machine to power on. As others have mentioned, this does come with quite a bit of bloatware, like most PCs

Decent Netbook for the money...but....

Noteable: HDMI, Widescreen HD, 3 USB ports, Wireless b/g/n, SD Card Reader. If the performance issues continue after I figure out the RAM issue, I will try to use a copy of Win7 Starter which a lot of netbooks seem to ship with.

The netbook is a borderline laptop at 12 inches but that is fine for me. I was looking for something that was portable and somewhat powerful. It only needed to do internet and email tasks and maybe the occasional low level game. It works well for this...

1. No OS - Like someone else said, this isn't a problem since no OS also means no bloatware. I had a license for Win7 x64 Pro lying around anyway so I installed that. It seems to run fine but I am noticing a little performance hit when running some...
