Can't pass up this system

This notebook is well designed. The software package that comes with it is excellent. Already comes with Skype installed to which a deployed soldier can use to call home at a very inexpensive price making it more convenient than SPAWAR. The screen is...

None right now. I'll tell you if I have speaker issues once I plug in headphones

Great Laptop

First thing I did was install kubuntu Edgy with Beryl and it picked up everything but my webcam. Got this going with little hassle. Driver is just a little behind at this point. Haven't tried games but that's certainly not why I got this.

Great port placement, great battery life, great display. Good linux support. Quick for a sub 1000 dollar laptop

None yet. Very pleased with my first laptop purchase

ASUS F3F LAPTOP

WITH THE SERVICE NEWEGG GIVES AND THE PRICE OFFERED THERE IS REALLY NOTHING MUCH TO THINK ABOUT...GRAB IT!

WONDERFUL HARDWARE UNLESS YOU NEED TOP OF THE LINE SOUND AND AUDIO. LOADED WITH MY FAVORITE DESKTOP SOFTWARE. EASE OF SETUP IS REMARKABLE. SCREEN IS REALLY WIDE AND BRIGHT. SOUND WITH EARPHONES, ESPECIALLY KOSS IS AWESOME. THE FOUR USB PORTS IS A FINE...

THE ONLY DRAW BACK I SEE IS THE PLACEMENT OF THE PHONE JACK...TO CLOSE TO THE MOUSE PAD. I HAVE BEEN SPOILED BY CREATIVE SOUND SOLUITIONS SOFTWARE, BUT I AM SORE THE SIGMA-TELL WILL PERFORM QUITE WELL

RUN, don't walk to get this ASUS

I've long been a Mac guy and own 5 or 6 new Macs at any given time: I have to because I earn my living on them. However, I maintain a small stable of PC laptops for certain jobs and games for my kid. Let me tell ya, ASUS makes a good notebook. A...

EXCELLENT glossy, bright, vivid display. Great RAM, HDD size, CPU(s!), BIOS, OEM software (everything a basic user would need for burning DVDs, organizing their pics, backup, video chat, etc... just add games and you're ready to rock. It's a sweet Dual...

The front latch is a little clunky to operate, but it holds the lid closed securely when it is engaged

Good but Dumb

ASUS Customer Support really helpful.

Nice picture, very fast, pretty cold even after long heavy work

Laptop's speakers failed after using headphones. It looks as a factory problem; no repairs could be done in ASUS facility. (No replacement parts.)

Great laptop!

If you get this laptop, check Asus website first. They have a windows vista upgrade for free program, but you have to buy within the timeline. I bought this laptop 3 days before the start date, so I don't qualify(huge bummer), but overall this laptop...

This is an excellent laptop. First off the screen is huge. This laptop comes loaded with 1gb ram, a 100gig drive, a dvd burner, and lots more. I definetely rate it high. I'm not saying its a great gaming computer, but a great overall laptop. The price...

I could have used a higher res(1280x800) but thats not enough to stop you from buying this laptop

I got a LEMON!

Wish I could RMA directly to NewEgg. :(

Nice sleek overall look. Good weight. Good features for the price

The item was delivered with a fualty screen. Basically it was severly discolored. RMA with asus can take weeks and is not a smooth process. Looks like a got a bad egg. Too bad because NewEgg is usually awesome

Perfect for school

I did some research before buying this laptop and wanted something that would last more than a couple of years. I could have went for F3Jm for better graphics but the price increase was huge.

Affordable, fast, nice to look at, feature rich, it's ASUS. Newegg got it to me quick and it ran like a charm right out of the box

Integrated graphics means the CPU is doing all of the work ; Not sure if I have a use for the webcam, but it's nice
