This is my first laptop, but after building a quad core rig and lots of technological experience, I am well pleased with the ratio of bang and buck. I bought it primarily as a college computer, because, as i said, i have a desktop so why get a beast of...
Wow. Where to begin. The light weight, the perfect-for-traveling and college dimensions, no bloatware. The webcam and mic work great, although i had to recover to get the cam to work. Probably my fault. For this price you're def. getting your money's...

1-Get a Logitech NanoVX mouse, the black and red one. It's a perfect match for this. 2-Surprise! NO CRAPWARE. None. Other than a couple of ASUS programs (wireless finder, update), there isn't ANY crapware. Other companies should be ashamed that they...

I wish it had VISTA Ultimate and I wish it had LED backlighting and Centrino 2 technology. But for the price it was a good deal. I'm able to use it for hours on my lap without my lap getting hot like my 3 yr old laptop does.
Lightweight, small size, and a quick PC ; 64bit VISTA Premium ; easily over 3 hours of battery life ; Gigabit wired ethernet port ; Runs cool
Battery sticks out from the back making the depth close to the same as a 14.1 inch screen laptop

The ASUS F6VE-B1 is a 13.3" desktop replacement notebook. Not content with making just another small form factor notebook, ASUS crammed in an Intel T9550 Core 2 Duo processor, 4GB of RAM, and an ATI Radeon Mobility 4570 graphics card into this 13.3"...
Great performance for a 13.3” notebook ; Keyboard is comfortable to type on ; Snappy Synaptics touchpad
Design feels dated ; Quality is not what you would expect on $1,299 notebook ; Tiny speakers
The ASUS F6Ve-B1 is a performance king among 13-inch notebooks, but there is room for improvement
With a starting price of$1,299 the F6VE-B1 is priced above similar size notebooks, but the performance might justify the cost. Read our review to find out how well it performs and if it is worth the high price tag

The F6Ve-B1 performs extremely well for a thin-and-light notebook, but we wish its battery life were a little better.
Excellent performance; sleek style; light weight
Short battery life; a bit thick for a thin-and-light; no FireWire port
For a thin-and-light notebook, the F6Ve-B1 offers excellent performance and sleek style. This system is perfect for those who want to take their systems home on the commute: It's powerful enough to be your primary PC and light enough to tote daily.The...

The 13.3in ASUS F6V-3P182E has an arty lid design, a great variety of ports and could have been a strong choice for non-business users on the move. Ho...
Wide array of expansion ports, looks attractive
Has an unpleasant smell (at least we thought so), speakers are too quiet
Even though we respect ASUS for being innovative with its notebook designs, the ASUS F6V-3P182E with its "musk" scent is too whiffy. But if you can get past the smell, a decent 13.3in notebook can be yours for $1599.

The F6V is a very good laptop, but don't believe the hype about the smell. Unless you're a dog, you can hardly smell anything. Thankfully, it's very good-looking, fairly quick and quite affordable. Laptops such as the Dell XPS M1330 give it a good run...

Asus has had a great deal of press lately, thanks to the success of its Eee PC Netbook. The F6V (£749 inc. VAT) is equally unique, as it is the first scented laptop on the market. Thankfully, it also delivers style, performance and mobility.

Smells like green spirit, and offers performance at a budget price. The ASUS F6V Green is a laptop with something a little different
Overall, it's got a decent amount of power for the price, and the features are solid, but the build quality isn't as good as we'd like and we'd suggest it's best used at home for basic entertainment needs.

The F6V has a glossy 13.3'' screen with a native resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels, which, as it's relatively small, makes it more suited to games than it does serious office use. With so few pixels, it's hard to cram much information on the screen at...
Reasonable for gaming ; Under 2 kilos ; Lots of inputs and outputs ; Optical sound output ; Express Card 34 slot
Very loud when working hard ; Average CPU power ; 2 hours of battery life ; Screen too small for office use
Forget about the 'scented computer'--it's marketing guff with no real value. Taking the rest of this laptop, it's pretty average, with good gaming performance compensating for the short two-hour battery life. The only real thing to look out for is the...
The quality of the screen itself was't stunning either. To start with, black pixels at 0.91 cd/m² for 221 cd/m² of white giving a contrast of just 243:1, a very average score. What's worse is that, by default, the colours aren't accurate, as is all too...
