very nice

i would recommend this to anyone looking for a cheap gaming or design oriented laptop

very large, exactly what I needed for design workspace. Also great for gaming. Plays both Portal 2 and Wow nicely, sure it will play others on good settings.

the usual laptop hiccups and learning what to tweak. At times it seems to think too long where it shouldn't, just web or folder browsing. Also the battery life. Still doing some more tweaks, but the battery only lasts 2-3 hours web browsing without...

Dead At The Tender Age Of 2

It was a decent laptop until the BIOS took a dump a few weeks ago.

I had the BIOS set in CSM (Legacy) Mode and I was installing a fresh copy of Windows 10. I switched the bios back to UEFI and restarted the laptop with Widows 10 ready to boot and install................ The BIOS never started again. It flip-flops...

poor quality

I will seriously reevaluate ASUS before I buy another ASUS product

play games and runs programs I want

Case is very flimsy. The computer is literally coming apart whenever I open the lid. The case comes apart to the point that I can see the internals of the computer

Good college laptop

I would recommend this laptop to someone looking to do some light to mid gaming, as well as crunch some serious office work with a nice big screen and serious processing power. I am a CS and IT major in college, and this has been totally sufficient for...

Great Machine, poor Quality Assesment

After reinstalling/tightening the two screws I actually had recovered (one in the corner to keep the cover from bending when opening the screen, the other near the battery compartment to support the lower cover from falling down near the battery...

Great machine for the money. Quick with no hardware/software issues.

Screws were all apparently loose. Did not notice they were loose/missing until I found the top cover of the laptop was popping up when the screen was open. After noticing three were missing and I heard something rattling around in the computer. I...

Just a bad unit?

I also found that a screw from the bottom went missing and the rest were not tight enough. Sent the laptop to ASUS for repairs. Got it back a week later. The DVD drive now for some reason says Blu Ray Disc on it, even though under hardware info it's...
