Asus F8Sn

Asus has gambled the farm that the fancy graphics offering—an Nvidia 9500M GS videocard with 512MB of onboard memory—in its F8Sn notebook will be enough to eclipse the machine's myriad shortcomings. Sadly, it isn't.

Killer Quake 4 scores; 5 USB ports; plenty of video outputs; crisp display

Mediocre benchmarks; lots of screen glare; poor battery life; bad keyboard layout

In the end, this notebook lacks anything that sets it apart from the other offerings. Don’t let the gaming performance fool you: The F8Sn is a poor choice for users of all shapes and sizes.

Good Solid Notebook

Im not sure if this is a mistake but the buttons for the Fn brightness settings are reversed, The pic with the little light filled up actually makes the brightness get lower and the other one isn't filled and makes the brightness higher. Its doesn't...

Overall great notebook...I was suprised by the very sleek thin design. Easy access buttons for turning Wifi, and Bluetooth off if your trying to conserve power.Finger print scanner is a plus pretty neat feature, works good. Running Vista Ultimate runs...

The touchpad buttons are a little loud, compared to my older laptop, just a little annoying if your in a quiet place. Like the size of the hard drive but sadly its only 5400 rpm instead of 7200 but its only minor to me. Since I already have Vsta...

Excellent notebook for school and moderate/light gaming

This is a lot of computer for the cash. If you're looking for a light school notebook that also plays the latest games on medium/low settings, look no further!

Light weight, sleek, somewhat speedy, and has some useful bloatware (paradox, I guess). The face recognition security is totally new to me and I love it, as well as the finger print identification. I made it so it recognizes my picture on my work's...

Glossy cover means finger prints. Asus includes a small cloth for this as well as a LCD cleaner cloth. No big deal. As the previous reviewer said, it has a lot of bloatware. Carefully get rid of them via msconfig/winpatrol, your preference ; It's...

Great Bang for the Buck

vista is cumbersome, and this thing is LOADED with bloatware, but a clean install should take care of that. back up your activation data, and re install vista. THERE ARE NO XP DRIVERS FOR THIS LAPTOP. i bought this elswhere, put in a t9300 and a 7200...

Feature rich, well rounded notebook, with the avg user, student, and business person in mind. Dual layer dvd burner, built in camera, bluetooth, 8-in-1 caard reader (which isnt mentioned in specs) lots more

processor and hdd leave a bit to be desired. look hard enough on the web, and you can find t9300's going for 300 usd. get one and throw it in if youre savvy. additionally, you can get a 200gb travelstar drive, to replace the 5400rpm , for 160 here....
