Nice product, but where's my rebate?

 

I mailed in my rebate, but I haven't received anything back. It's been 5 months.

PC does everything that you want it to do.

Had some issues with the mouse, but found a solution online. It was wrapped in plastic with a piece of cardboard and a single piece of paper.

Never worked, No Customer Service

 

I would never recommend an ASUS product again after this and a few other incidents over the years. I will update this review if I ever get a working laptop from them.

- Looks like a good case.

- Never worked. Not once. - Customer Service has had the laptop in and out of repairs and replacement for over 2 years. There is still no resolution.

Ups and Downs

 

Two different Win 7 source DVDs stalled at the same spot; this was finally resolved by a BIOS change, undocumented. Had to download Win 7 drivers

Beautiful screen/video. ASUS ROG-worthy appearance. Great ergonomics. Two drive bays; RAID supported in BIOS.

No documentation nor recovery disks. Came with wretched Win 8.1, made worse by 5400 RPM drive. Installing an SSD and Win 7 Pro/64 a chore, due to lack of documentation (solution found online). BIOS has very sparse features. Drivers hidden in installed...

Fantastic laptop! Worth every penny!

 

I would highly recommend ROG laptops. Have owned plenty of ASUS desktops and laptops and have never had an issue with any of their products.

The laptops design is very sleek. Its super heavy and feels rugged, built like a tank. The keyboard is very nice and responsive, as is the track pad. There are plenty of USB ports on both sides. The intake fan is on the bottom and the hot air is pushed...

If you unplug the power supply from the laptop and plug it back in without having had unplugged the supply from the wall and plugging it back in, it won't work. Kinda annoying but not a big deal.

Plain and simple. Just get a laptop for a little more money and make SURE there is a SSD. For some reason, this hard drive is just pure garbage. A few months after I got the laptop back from repair I again started having some issues. Nowhere near as...

-ASUS' reputation for great customer support is well warranted. They took the laptop back and replaced everything broken and sent it back to me within a week. Phone staff is very helpful. -The keyboard is nice.

Where to begin...First off, if you are a semi-serious gamer and were looking for a gaming laptop for a mid-tier price then I would recommend selling something, waiting a few months, or whatever you need to do to just spend the extra few hundred dollars...

Sending back for a refund or replacement....

 

I would not suggest this to anyone until it is 100% virus free guaranteed when shipped to customer, but otherwise it ran smoothly before the virus with web browsing and such. Being refurbished I can kinda see now why it was low on FPS gaming wise..

It was fast at first, booted up quickly as expected, and the air vents and fans worked perfectly, making little noise when gaming even after extending periods of time. I didn't use the touch pad much but it worked nicely when I did, very responsive.

Low frame rate, and terrible specs. I had gone from 5FPS on my old laptop to 20 on this laptop when I first got it. It was a marvelous upgrade FPS wise, considering that the old laptop was not suited for gaming in the first place. But 20FPS is...
