Preview Asus G750JX Notebook

Silent gaming. As usual powerful gaming notebooks start appearing after the launch of a new CPU generation and delight gamers with new models. One of them is the Asus G750JX gaming notebook. ...

Although the pre-series model was slightly too loud when idle, its system noise is on par with the predecessor's good level. However, this might improve before the notebook is finally launched

ASUS G750JX-DB71

The ASUS G750JX is a powerful and striking Haswell gaming laptop that delivers impressive graphics performance for hundreds less than the competition.

Attractive stealth fighter design; Excellent keyboard; Solid graphics and performance; Runs cool and quiet while gaming; Above-average battery life

Not the best audio; Mediocre webcam

With the ASUS G750JX, ASUS proves that you can get a great-looking and fast gaming notebook without selling your firstborn. This rig is an able workhouse, providing impressive graphics performance and longer battery life than its closest competitors....

Asus G750JX-DB71 Review

The introduction of Intel's 4th-gen processors has understandably stolen the lion's share of recent headlines, but for gamers, it's not the most important announcement. That honor goes to the new GTX 700 mobile graphics parts from Nvidia, the release...

Plenty of ports ; Good keyboard and touchpad ; High-quality 1080p non-gloss display ; Respectable battery life ; Excellent all-around performance ; Runs cool

Not particularly attractive ; Large and heavy

With impressive performance, solid quality, and a reasonable price tag, the G750 is the top choice for hardcore gamers lacking a hardcore budget.

A hefty laptop for gamers

Good performance ; Dedicated graphics ; 1TB of storage ; Blu-ray drive ; Good connectivity

Heavy ; No touchscreen for Windows 8 ; Battery life not great

Asus G750JX

An excellent 17.3-inch gaming laptop at a not totally obscene price

Outstanding gaming performance ; Excellent keyboard and touchpad ; Superb audio and optional Blu Ray drive

Average screen ; Extremely heavy ; Design not to our tastes

In short, it’s a reasonable screen but not outstanding to our eyes.

Asus ROG G750JX

Built by Asus' dedicated Republic of Gamer team, does this Haswell-powered machine live up to the ROG reputation?

Sexy design ; Very quiet ; Excellent overall performance

Still can't run max detail in most demanding games ; Average battery life

Choosing between this and the Qosmio is a very tough choice, as they're so darn similar. We have to give the edge to Asus, though, thanks to the longer battery life and whisper-quiet performance.

The touchpad can be annoying while typing, but there is a fn key to disable and enable the touch pad..

Fast. Runs cool and quiet. Has buttons for left and right click

Heavy. Comes with a mild amount of bloatware. Windows 8 is fine once you set it up, but it took a lot of patients

POWER / PRICE ; This is the best computer for the price point, end of story. Wolfenstien New Order, max settings, no problem. With 16 GB ram and Windows 8.1 it multitasks without sweating ; Windows 8 is a great operating system, its faster than 7 and...

Touchpad... This has an Elan touchpad, if the computer wasn't so great i would tell everyone to run from it for that reason. I'm a technical report writer, the TP options are pathetic from ASUS ; Spent hours on a fix for that ; I've posted a how to...
