Laptop Performed Well

It was good in the day, still use it now in 2016. Installed new windows operating system and runs it well so far. There's nothing to this point that I wish I knew about it before I bought it.

Laptop lasted well and performed as expected.

Touchpad is difficult to use, and keyboard is cluttered but use-able. The display brightness and contrast, as well as resolution leave much to be desired compared to newer models. Has bloatware, but didn't cause much problems.

Good, but has some problems.

A good laptop if it doesn't start malfunctioning. I don't recommend it for gaming due to the weaker processor, but for an all-around laptop it does it's job well. Just hope that it still works properly after a year or two.

Pretty powerful for a laptop. Can run many programs at once while retaining a high speed - Runs most games fairly well, and runs other programs with ease. Boots up quickly as well. Great keyboard, good looking, and it never gets hot (as long as you...

After a few months, the disc drive began to have trouble reading discs. I would have to clean it to get it working again - eventually, the disc drive stopped reading discs completely, and I am now forced to run ISOs instead. After a year and a half of...

Satisfied

I would buy ASUS again due to their sturdy built unless Dell's flimsy lappys. Good warranty years.

Sturdy built, decent for gaming, fast. Love the cool palm rest and numeric pads on the right. Love the touch pad's features for easy browsing. Re-installation of software available on asus website makes it convenient and good for going green

BLOAT WARE!!!! And the webcam resolution, my cellphone has more pixels, SMFH. The touchpad buttons, you'll need a finger hammer to press it. HDD speed is slow. NO OS re-installation disc, so much for going green when we still have to put them on a DVD...

Worst Customer Service Imagineable.

Laptop very smooth, runs cool.

Customer Service is non existent. Takes at least 48 hours to get a response to an email and when you do it doesn't help you at all.

Minor annoyances

They touchpad on this feels like no other, its wierd as anything. Also the mouse buttons are very heavy, need to press hard to get the signal through. 4 because everything can be better, and im a little annoyed.

Price is awesome, looks cool and runs like a charm, no problems though ive had it for a short period of time. Warranty is amazing, any other manufacturer would charge another 100 for the 2 yr, and maybe 150 for the accidental damage one. All asus have...

Just a few things that can be very annoying. When i was taking the packaging off, there is a plastic wrap over the screen hinges, and when taking it off it is very easy to rip the cover off (i did it). Just watch out for that, easy to fix ; The hard...

Great notebook, but horrible factory setup.

Bottom line: Definitely worth the money if you don't mind formatting the drive and putting a fresh install of Windows 7 on it. The camera initially had the wrong driver installed, causing the frame to be displayed inverted. I had to look up the...

Well-built (though not what I would call a road-warrior), runs cool, vibrant screen that can go a couple notches of brightness above comfortable (this is a good thing). Windows 7 64 cooks right along on this notebook, and the Nvidia 320 M graphics run...

Out-of-the-box, this was one of the worst factory installations of an OS and third-party speed-sucking bloatware I've ever seen. The main drive was oddly partitioned with drive C: being labeled 'data' and given something like 70 gigs of space with the...

Great quality to cost ratio.

I run Starcraft 2 on high while connected to my 22" Samsung monitor during 1v1s and it runs like a dream. For bigger matchups, I have to unplug it and run it on the 15.6" screen (which isn't even a big deal) or drop the settings to medium.

Great performance out of this laptop. The screen is bright, and the colours are vivid. I am moving up from a 1.3Ghz, 2GB DDR2, Integrated GPU so it is understandable that I am blown away by this machine. Runs all the games I want it to on High...

Ugh, Asus has the WORST factory installation of the OS and weirdest partition of the HDD. It's pretty easy to fix but I honestly have no clue what they were thinking when they designed it. Pretty minimal bloatware, but its presence is felt. No OS disks...

An honest review

Hands down this laptop is great if you are trying to balance a budget with quality (ASUS rocks on quality) and decent performance. Use it for work, take it to a LAN party, crash on the couch, or pull it out for a plane flight; this laptop will serve...

Great performance to price ratio ; Fair battery life (at least a couple of hours if you are hitting it pretty hard, longer if you are on battery saving mode) ; Wide variety of BIOS options ; Great support in Linux Mint 9 ; Free 1 year accidental damage...

No review can not be comlete without a list of honest cons, so here is ; No dedicated volume keys/media (but I knew that when I chose this laptop) ; Straight plug on the power brick (this means that you potentially bend it every time you wrap up your...

No problems on this end

Use a program or uninstall the bloat ware, useless garbage that does nothing but take up space and operating speed.

Graphics card is decent for the average college student, processor works well, LED Screen is nifty for crisp cool visuals. Hard drive space is about as much as I'll need ; Runs WoW at 35 FPS In a high pop Dalaran and everywhere else a steady 60 FPS ;...

This thing is a fingerprint magnet, but that really does not matter. The biggest con to this laptop is BLOATWARE, theres so much of it I was perplexed. I would of expected that out of Dell not Asus. No recovery disc but if you don't live in the 90's...
