Review Asus K50IN Notebook

All-rounder. With the K50IN, Asus has a 15.6-inch all-round noteb

Fancy design; Low temperature; Low noise development; Bright display

with a high black level and low image stability; Poor gaming performance; Short battery life under load; Sluggish in initial state; No HDMI port

How much Asus has recently been cramming almost all of its notebooks with unnecessary software.

ASUS K50IN Laptop

Asus are one of the largest notebook manufacturers in the world. They have a fully comprehensive range of full-size notebooks although they are often overshadowed by their popular ‘Eee pc' range of netbooks and their high-performance gaming notebooks.

Asus K50IN review

Asus K50IN proves they've mastered the art of the all-rounder

Good performance ; Connectivity ; Battery life

Bit large and heavy ; Could be more powerful

It's not blisteringly fast or super-mobile, but it's a solid performer with excellent build and battery life

Asus K50IN-SX025C review

Asus's K50IN is quite a chunky laptop, with rounded edges and a thick screen bezel that houses a webcam on its top edge. It has a shiny, metallic finish, with a dotted pinstripe pattern that looks different depending on the viewing angle and light.

A great display, two-year warranty and decent battery life make the K50IN-SX025C an excellent choice.

A Home-based Laptop : Asus K50IN

Some laptops are used as a travelling companion while others are more suited for providing your computing needs in the home. Falling into the latter category is the Asus K50IN.

One slight niggle with this system concerns the displaying of on-screen icons. While these useful items of desktop furniture appear when you initially boot up the system, they quickly disappear. The only way I was able to get them back was to first...

This laptop is great for gaming ; Great value

I had to figure out why when I was playing counterstrike with this laptop the game would freeze and make noises whenever i pressed a certain combo of keys ; It took me a while to find out that all Asus laptops come with a default second language as...

Asus says Bloatware is a MUST.

Still laughing @ Asus tech support.... "3rd party Microsoft OEM CD" Asus, you're a riot!

Sleek design. Laptop is lightweight and very portable

Asus do not allow for a stripped installation of the Windows Vista OEM software. Technical support claimed that my '3rd party' Vista OEM Installation CD was not supported by Asus therefore forcing the end user to live with the bloatware that comes...

Asus K50IN-SX149

Battery life is better than most of it's peers (high performance laptops with DVD players)

It's heavier than I would have hoped, probably because the battery is more powerful.

Asus K50IN-SX149

Good looking laptop with a number pad.

No HDMI or SPDIF connection. I think the lack of HDMI is madness, particularly considering the quality of the graphics card.

Asus K50IN-SX149

It never gets hot. Very silent. Very good value for money.

The keyboard layout is very bad. The touchpad is too sensitive. The location of the speakers is not very good.
