Review Asus K53TA-SX026V (Fusion) Notebook

Frugal. Low energy needs, no annoying heat gain, and good battery

Cool chassis; Very good battery life; Good gaming performance; Low energy needs; Crossfire is functional

Very low contrast; Poor viewing angles; Sound is dominated by high tones; Loud fan noise when gaming; Battery takes long time to recharge

AMD Radeon: Fujitsu Lifebook AH530: HD 6530M; HP Pavilion dv6-3298eg (LE527EA): HD 6550M; Samsung Series 3 305V5A-S01DE (AMD Llano HD 6470M).

ASUS K53 Review: Mass Market Dual-Core Sandy Bridge

The last three years have been great for ultraportables and netbooks. Laptops with displays below fourteen inches in size have exploded in popularity thanks not only to Intel's Atom, but also a wide selection of Intel ultra-low voltage products. Many...

amazing for the price

ive since modded this things cooling system, by directly wiring the fan to a usb port. the result: temps rarely go over 40c now, even while playing very demanding games like battlefield 3 or crysis. also, i stuck a a4-3400m in (since most games i play...

I bought this to replace a aged gateway nv78 (intel gma 4500hd woo!) for the price, this thing is unbeatable. games that are 1 year older, such as supreme commander 2, dirt 2, sins of a solar empire, orcs must die run amazingly well. the cpu can easily...

the heat. the system fan wont speed up to medium until the internals hit about 60c. then, like clockwork, the fan spins up (it is very quiet though.) also, crossfire is a joke. i tried it in multiple dx11 games, with the latest catalyst and crossfire...

Good low end "gaming" laptop

Perfect laptop for those seeking a light gaming laptop. Runs World of warcraft in decent setting. Can do high BUT hiccups and you can't expect to raid with it in those setting.

Asus brand. Like new can't even tell it is a refurbished laptop! Can do crossfire with the 2 GPUs it has and is a quad core

Best Laptop

Paid about $400 for it and you cant get a better laptop for that price atm

If you reinstall Windows 7 the laptop at stock can play any game on the market (bf3, skyrium, crysis 2, ect..) If you overclock using k10stat the cpu can get to 2.3 ghz per core and is still cool. making games even smoother when playing

The windows 7 that i comes install with has tons of programs making the laptop incredibly slow it also comes with the wrong drivers for the wireless device simply had to install the right ones

Great value if you have the right expectations

I ordered TWO of these as none of my current laptops met Diablo III's system requirements and my wife and I love to slay us some demons. I experienced some “Refurbished Roulette” - one laptop came with brand new A/C adapter and battery, neatly packed,...

This computer’s competitive advantage is all about value – it’s hard to find similar specs in anything under $800. The graphics look great and the system runs smoothly. For the price, you can’t beat it ; At first, I thought I saw some graininess per...

You’re getting $800 in features for about half of that sum. There will be compromises. In descending order of severity, with fixes ; 1.As expected based on other reviews, neither wireless card worked (I ordered two laptops - see "other thoughts"). Fix:...

Can anyone please confirm what Bill L. said in the review bellow about the screen upgrade from ASUS G53 series laptop to get a 1920x1080 resolution. Is it compatible? I checked the screen for G53SX and the dimensions and pin socket is exactly the same,...

laptop is nice for money, bought it for $400 a couple of months ago. No issues thus far. Tuned my voltages with FUSIONTWEAKER nicely

Great performance for the price, Asus is terrible!

Asus is bad, period. I was hoping for better, should have gotten a used one. I still opted for replacement, the internal specs are just what I need for university. This notebook could be perfect, only an rma and 2 weeks of waiting to see -.-

Overall build quality is good ; Performance is excellent for the price

Terrible refurbished condition, looks used; feels used ; Fingerprints were all over the bezel, took me awhile to clean up ; Screen looks grainy, even solid colors have noise to them ; Battery lasted 2.5 hours browsing, vs the claimed 5-6 hours by other...

Fast! Gave it a slight overclock and through in 8 gigs of RAM. Plays skyrim on high no problem. Had to do a fresh install of windows, so much bloatware. Overall a amazing machine for the price. When you first start it up windows says it may be a...

No driver install disc. Had to do some searching for the drivers. But not to big of a deal

non-genuine win7 ??

minimalist - laptop and power cord - plastic wrapped inside a cardboard box. you pays your money and you takes your chances!

seems fairly speedy - well constructed. Found the internet with no problem-fast downloads

WIN7 reports that it may be counterfeit-what is up with that
