Trackpad fails

Apparently this is a longstanding issue with ASUS laptops and ELAN touchpads. I wish I had known about it before purchasing. We'll see what kind of help I get from ASUS...

Seems fine other then trackpad issue

ELAN Trackpad doesn't work when laptop is on AC Power: it won't move the cursor, but will occasionally start scrolling or switch windows and stuff. Works fine on battery power

quality laptop

I have yet to see something under 1000 dollars that can compete with this machine

extremely fast, excellent ventilation, very quiet levels even running graphics intensive programs. SWTOR and ME2 run well on max settings

no backlit keyboard, only expandable to 8gig ram, not huge issues
