Asus N10J-A1 review: Asus N10J-A1

Asus N10J-A1

In a Netbook first, it includes a dedicated graphics chip, which can be switched off to extend battery life; decent keyboard; excellent battery life, especially with GeForce graphics turned off; HDMI port and ExpressCard slot are useful bonuses.

Low screen resolution won't appeal to all gamers; underpowered Intel Atom CPU is far from ideal for graphics-heavy applications; high price.

It may look like your standard Netbook, but the Asus N10J is unique because underneath it features discrete, switchable graphics. You'll pay a bit more for the privilege, but the end result works for gaming on the go, as long as you don't mind dialing...

ASUS N10Jc-A1

The N10Jc's advanced features cater to small businesses, advanced users, and folks looking for something extra in a netbook.

Switching graphics. HDMI-out. Discrete nVidia graphics. Reasonable $650 price point. Six-cell battery comes standard. Biggest keyboard on a netbook yet. Ample features. ExressCard slot.

Clunky looking. Heavy.

Asus N10Jc Mini-notebook

The N10Jc is a fantastic choice for mobile workers, but its relatively high price puts it out of reach for many.

An Nvidia GPU lurks inside ; HDMI out and biometrics in a mini-note

Glossy screen is hard to see in daylight ; A little on the pricey side

Asus continues its admirable habit of bundling useful software with its mini-notebooks. On the security side, along with the fingerprint reader and Protector Suite QL, you get basic biometric lockdown for your data. Other goodies are a basic...

Review Asus N10E

Asus N10E is one of the lastest additions to the broad range of A ...

Good Workmanship ; User-friendly keyboard ; Quite good connectivity ; Capacious and fast HDD ; Low noise level ; Moderate temperature increase ; Relatively long battery life ; Excellent touchpad ; External DVD drive available for surcharge

Considerable weight ; Unfavourable location of the loudspeakers (hidden at the bottom)

The final question: Is the N10E worth it or not? Definitely, if you are looking for a small notebook that can handle standard office tasks with ease

ASUS N10JC-A1 Review

The N10 is designed a step above other netbooks, with a better paint scheme and chrome accents. The shape is slimmer than the 1000HA we just reviewed, but the thinner shape comes from the battery sticking out instead of down. While some people get hung...

Improved cooling over previous Eee PC models ; Good battery life ; Slimmer design over 10” Eee PC 1000 ; ExpressCard slot for expansion ; HDMI output from a netbook

High price tag (compared to consumer netbooks) ; Dedicated graphics don’t really improve HD video decoding or mild gaming ; Keyboard doesn't feel as comfortable as other 10” netbooks

With a price tag nearly 50 percent greater than other netbook models, even more when compared to new HP and Dell offerings, it seems ASUS might have priced themselves out of the consumer market with the N10. Of course, the price tag is still perfectly...

Premium netbooks: Good value or oxymoron?

With smartphones becoming smarter and larger laptops becoming cheaper, are higher-cost netbooks worth a serious look? We look at four of them.

Light and thin, extra-wide screen, Bluetooth and GPS, beautiful design and finish

Disappointing performance, expensive, small keys

Without a doubt, the newest and hardest netbook to get is ironically also the most expensive. Sony Corp.'s $900 Vaio P attempts to raise the netbook bar by putting the emphasis on size, weight and style.

ASUS N10Jc-A1 Netbook Review - Atom N270

The ASUS N10 is a netbook that combines both elegance and performance in a 10.2 WSVGA netbook that weighs in at just 3.1 pounds. The ASUS N10Jc-A1 offers all the standard features one would expect on a netbook, but it includes switchable dedicated...
