Better than a MacBook Pro

Easily runs all Adobe applications as well as any music production software. I don't game too much but I've played a little Counter Strike and once again, it is super smooth. Battery life is good and it runs pretty cool. Speakers are the best of any...

It does not come with a hot girlfriend, or a light up apple on the back. That's an extra $1,100

started great now sucks!

Overall all thought i had a great laptop now i seriously regret buying it. Hopefully i will be able to do something about it with the year warranty. Otherwise i think it might be the last time im buying a laptop online.

I purchased this laptop in June it started out great, pretty fast start up, could listen to music and go online at the same time, played world of warcraft and no problems

Now around 6-7 months later this laptops is so slow. Turn it on and the logon screen doesnt come on untill 15 minutes, and when i actually do log on the computer is so slow that it takes 30 minutes to do anything without freezing. Now overall its...

Great far.

Have had for only a week now. But it is fast, at startup and while using programs or surfing. Speakers sound really good for a laptop. The screen looks great. Almost got a 15.6", but so glad I did not. The 17.3" is awesome. Harddrive size is pretty...

Great Screen ; Great Dekstop Replacement ; Audio ; Processor ; Windows 7 ( great upgrade from Vista )

Backlit keyboard would have been nice ; One more USB Port may come in handy

Fantastic laptop

All in all, perfect for anyone for is looking for a great sounding laptop, with more than enough processing power, a great screen, and gaming-capability as well!! Ho, and I forgot to mention that it looks absolutely georgeous, not the usual black...

1 - Sound!! I can't make claims about other laptop, but this by far the best sounding laptop I've ever encountered. It does not sound tinny, rather the sound is full, well-rounded, and never distorts even at full volume. You can't throw a party with it...

These are minor gripes, but nevertheless ; 1 - Keyboard: chicklet-type, keys are quite close to one another, it takes a while before one gets used to it.Also, minor flexing in center of keyboard, but you get used to it ; 2 - Trackpad: its behaviour is...

Dual HDD Woes

I finally decided it was worth voiding the warranty, and told tech support of my decision. They refused to give direction on how to access the back panel. The user manual has no instructions. When I pointed out the users who do not have a warranty are...

Not enough experience to list the Pros

This laptop has dual hard drive support. However, removing the bottom panel is difficult to figure out. After literally 3 hours on hold with tech support, they tell me I cannot add a hard drive without voiding the warranty. They also will not allow me...

Good Desktop Replacement

Its a great system for the user who wants to replace a desktop. It has the same stats as most desktop systems and is an ok gaming rig. I plays Starcraft II and RUSE just fine when you run on the dedicated card. My CPU is actually running at 2.8 ghz...

Super-hybrid engine seems to act up when I turn it on. I have to restart the PC and then it works fine. The bloatware is a problem but you can remove it all with time

Not what I expected, ASUS

Its a beautiful machine, has a hybrid engine that can double the 6 cell batteries lifetime (2 hrs instead of 1)... I would imagine a 12 cell battery would be a great idea for the businessman on the go, but I can't find any reason to recommend this...

Before I start, you should all know that I paid for this computer with MY money, and will give a generic consumer's HONEST point of view on the product. I do not plan on saving face and will admit that I am a little ashamed in this investment ;...

HEAT DISPERSION ; This is your run of the mill laptop, to be frank it can't handle high end gaming. Sure it WILL play Modern Warfare 2, and it WILL play GTA4, but the question is, how long will it play them? After updating the Nvidia drivers GTA4...

Great Laptop!

For the gamers that care, I get low 30s, high 20s FPS on Modern Warfare 2 at the highest settings at 1600x900. It's not the top of the line for gaming PCs, but it definitely holds it's own on the latest games. Splinter Cell Conviction wasn't great on...

This is a fantastic computer for $1000! I've upgraded from 4 yr old Dell. I researched for literally 3 months and was about to pull the trigger on smaller Asus' but I'm so thankful I found this one right after it came out and I went for it ; First off,...

My one con is the keyboard, which alot of users have mentioned. It is a little flimsy and crammed on the numeric pad side. The arrow keys are not separated from other keys, and you kind of have to relearn the numeric pad (if you use it alot!) because...
