Review Asus N73JQ Notebook

Audio Expert. We are sending the strong 17.3 incher into the race with a loud drum roll. Balanced midranges and trebles make you forget the taciturn basses. Will the quad CPU add the icing in terms of performance?

Very good sound, High contrasts, Strong computing performance, Good 3D performance, Continuously cool wrist-rest, Solid, high-end construction, Low system noise, BluRay burner, Two hard disks, 1000GB, Three RAM slots, USB 3.0 & eSATA, LAN + USB on the...

Very heavy, Spongy keys, Narrow color spectrum, TFT not outdoor suitable, No ExpressCard54/34, A keyboard on which the fingers aren't left in the dark, but receive a clearer feedback instead

Not a let down!

I have been running duel monitors and playing Everquest 2 at high quality and still no lag! If you know your MMO's Everquest 2 is a huge game and will test your PC with the new Shader 3.0 engine that they launched! If I run just one account then I can...

I love the 17.3" monitor! It's has a great feel, but still getting used to this keyboard.. The 740q is running my games with max res settings

The vent out of the left side blows some pretty hot air when I run two monitors, but I have a Laptop cooling system enroute

Good deal

This laptop really is an awesome buy. I bought 12Gb G-Skill RAM and put it in before I turned the laptop on. It is not super fast to boot, or even load programs- but you can't slow this thing down. The other day I was running StarCraft 2 on ultra...

Powerful, fast, loud, graphically superior. WONDERFUL port arrangement- USB in the back is really nice. Screen is awesome, plugs into my receiver at home for HD and nice surround sound

Battery life is bad- but I went in knowing this and I pretty much keep it plugged in all the time- even when in the car. I could have sworn it came with a Blu-Ray player, but I must have read the tech specs wrong. Had to buy a special case for it to...

Outstanding laptop ! ! !

Easily one of the best laptops you can find under $1k. I used over 6 different laptops in the past, and this laptop is by far my favorite ! ! !

Asus never disappointed its customers, and this is no exception. Excellent laptop with vivid bright LED screen which is difference you can see compared to other laptops. I bought this mainly for music and gaming, and N73 is great for both

Keyboard is not the best but can be easily accommodated ; One of the multimedia buttons on the side is not functioning but I never used them anyway

upgradable and sleek

Some people say it might be hard finding a case for this thing. i got one on here for about 50, free shipping. targus laptop backpack. works great! this laptop is a great buy and is easily upgradeable with all the extra slots it has. extra hd slot and...

I'm loving the quick corei7. It easily beats out my core 2 quad thats clocked at 3ghz. This laptop easily beats out my pc setup that i put together a year and a half ago. Ram is really fast. DVD burner is pretty fast. The usb 3.0 slot is great since i...

keyboard shows the dipping but its ok because you can hardly see it. bad battery life but who expects a quadcore laptop with a 17.3inch screen to last more than 2hours

powerful & futureproof machine

this laptop is not for the timid. its big, can be loud and has a presence. power and upgradability set this unit apart from the rest of the market. if the keyboard and battery life are not issues for you then this classy unit will be the one you will...

this machine is large so it will take up some real estate. even before powering up you will see that this thing is very well made. the brushed aluminum top is gorgeous. the LED screen is vivid and bright. the media buttons are very useful and the...

the display is not HD although this will output HD through the HDMI. the keyboard does exhibit some higher than normal flex and the keys have thin gaps so the feel is not as good as std keyboards. the keyboard is not lit which would have been nice but...

Do not know which is worse, the computer or the customer support

My job absolutely depends on me having a functional computer. I told this to a tech support person who suggested that I should be able to get a replacement instead of a repair as the repair takes much longer. But the replacement can only be authorized...

Let me start by saying that I went out of my way (and pocket) to buy this computer. Its specs were just awesome. It seemed a bit more expensive than the competition but I decided to go for ASUS QUALITY. What a mistake that was

Creating AI-Recovery DVDs wasted about 15 DVDs for me as the process would get stuck at one or the other point ; The unit had its first BSOD within 2 days of light use, and more of them kept on happening intermittently. The machine rarely ever...

Great DVD RW

Newegg needs to ship this laptop in a plain box. I have never seen a laptop sent in it's original box, until now. Montana weather is brutal, so having the extra shipping protection is a must. Especially when ups leaves stuff on your snow covered...

Very fast laptop once I put in additional 8gb of crucial memory from newegg. Only thing slowing this down is the hard drive. Only thing lacking is the hard drive is the slowest part of this machine now. I use this for my business as well as gaming. So...

Placement of memory, having to darn near take the whole thing apart to change out the two sticks of memory in the bottom is very irritating. You can get to one of the 3 slots if you take off the keyboard though. The keyboard is a bit squishy. I am...

Hard to say

Go with another company.

Fast when it worked. Good video card, superhigh speed USB 3.0. great speakers

only worked for about a week. Then I started having problems. None of the USB ports recognized hardware. Programs began to crash, each and everytime I connected and external device notebook would have to search for the drivers.....even though they were...

Phenomenal Laptop... but...

I actually have been setting one of these up for a co-worker, so I don't personally own it, but I've been working with it for the past few days. Windows rating was 5.9 (ironically the 128GB OCZ SSD I installed was the lowest scoring component). The...

Fit and finish... real metal casing on the top, pretty lightweight for a 17.3" screen. Sound quality is phenomenal, very easy to open the lid, extremely fast processor, little switch to physically "cover" the webcam, also a real WiFi switch, great...

It's really difficult to get to the expansion bays (for hard drives, memory and wifi). You need to remove the keyboard and then 6 screws before the lower panel pops off. There is a DIMM slot under the keyboard (it does support 12GB of DDR3) and an...
