Does the job

 

Got this for school (BSCE), and it does everything I need it to. Additionally I use it to tunnel into work and do what I need to THERE as well. For the price I'm very pleased. The 1.6GHz i5 would not have been my first choice, but the 8GB RAM kinda...

Does the job. Quick enough. VERY good display. Appears sturdy (and I don't treat it that well)

Not thrilled with Windows 8.1, but can still get my work done

My daughter needed a laptop for school. This was her Christmas gift. At this point I ended up buying a different non-refurbished laptop. This was a non-refundable item from NewEgg so I suppose I'll keep playing RMA roulette until I get a working model.
