Review Asus Taichi 31-CX003H Convertible Ultrabook

Double-decker. Asus seems to have thought: "One Full HD IPS screen is nothing special" and simply builds two of the high definition screens into its Taichi 31 tablet-ultrabook. How the extravagant 13-incher fares in our tests and whether the...

2 premium Full HD IPS screens, Good build (aluminum unibody), Swift work speed owing to SSD, Decent sound quality, Low emissions, The stylish and elegant design of the Taichi 31 in its robust aluminum unibody casing

Throttling during full load, Low graphics and CPU power, Heavy weight for a tablet, High price, Less weight, which is likely only difficult to achieve for construction reasons. 1.5 kg is simply too much, especially for a tablet

Asus Taichi 31-DH71 Review

As an ultrabook, the Asus Taichi does offer a rather unique package. It does well on both the build quality as well as the performance front. But we don't really think the secondary display makes a lot of sense at this time, unless you want to show off...

Classy build, Dual display implementation, Comfortable keyboard, Good battery life

Needs to be handled with utmost care, Costs a lot of money, Only 4GB RAM

ASUS Taichi 31 Review

Asus has developed a reputation for bizarre gadgets and whether commercially successful or not, it doesn't shy away from innovation. The latest contraption to hit our markets is the Taichi, a dual-screen Windows 8 hybrid that debuted sometime last...

Inside, we have plenty of space for your palms and a generously sized trackpad with finger-friendly buttons. The chiclet styled keys are backlit and very comfortable to use. There’s good amount of spacing and the tactile feedback is good without being...

Review: ASUS TAICHI 31 - Are Two Heads Better Than One?

The advent of Windows 8 has spawned a huge number of touchscreen notebooks and many of them come with a convertible form factor that enables them to switch instantly between the tablet and laptop form. While some have used screens that rotate around a...

Stylish; Good performance; 2 Full HD IPS screens; Long battery backup

Erratic touchpad; Heavy for a tablet; Not meant for serious gaming; Few practical uses of dual screen; Very expensive

Refurbished PowerColer AXR7 250

Own the product for ~7 month............... The shortest lifespan of laptops that I have ever owned...........................

Light and "functioned" well

It suddenly went crazy. The defaulted recovery is not working at all. I can't even get through original setting

Would not buy Asus again

My feeling is that the second screen is dumb. Most convertibles have a screen that flips or folds backwards which is the way to go. Why have the expense, complexity and thickness of an additional screen which you would never use them together? Only the...

Cheap when I got it on sale

Unreliable - DIED when less than 4 months old. Asus will not offer a refund or advance replacement and since I need this daily for my work, I am now forced to buy a new laptop even though I'll eventually get this one back from repair ; Slow and...

Better than regular laptops.

With system, they provide pen but, honestly it's really useless. don't expect too much on it. you can only use it on outer monitor and really hard to write due to thickness of it. Charger is small and compact. I like it. it only has two 3.0 USB ports...

Definitely two side monitor. unlike Lenovo yoga, you don't have to put your keyboard on the bottom when you use it as tablet mode. you will get attention everywhere when people see it first time. heat distribution is fine. it does get hotter period of...

two side monitor. it takes time to change the monitors. sometimes it recognizes touch from outer monitor when you are using inner one. also sometimes it automatically memorized the touch from outer monitor when you hold it. so after you turn on your...

Great little laptop/tablet

Lightweight, Stylish, Speedy, Quiet, Fun to Use ; To me this is truly a nice little laptop. For the price I'd say it's unbeatable. I wouldn't say it has the power for gaming, but as a laptop for browsing/work/etc. it really does the job well and easily

Only complaint would be battery life is short-ish. It's not terrible in my opinion, probably 4-5 hours of use, which is good for me ; Kind of big for tablet use (the 11" would be better for that), but I just use it as a laptop and so it doesn't bother me

Wife loves it

I bought this for my wife and she loves it. She goes from laptop to tablet mode all the time, and she says the more she uses it the more she likes it. It does ok with very light games (zuma, slots, etc), but don't expect it to play games that are going...

Lightweight, Reasonably speedy for normal stuff (browsing, playing videos, email), expandable storage

Small amount of disk space
