Asus Transformer Book T100TAL Convertible Review

LTE on-board. The Asus Transformer Book T100TAL is a long-lasting 10.1-inch convertible. The in-built LTE modem offers users the option of mobile Internet.

IPS panel with strong contrast, Works silently, LTE modem, Very long battery life

No USB 3.0, Expensive

The Asus Transformer Book T100TAL-DK021P is ideal for users who want a tablet, but do not want to sacrifice a keyboard. The Atom processor provides sufficient performance for office and web use. The operating system is the 32-bit version of Windows 8.1...

Review Asus Transformer Book T100TA-C1-GR Convertible

4 x Atom. Bay Trail-T is supposed to eradicate the performance disadvantages of its predecessors. It wants to do this with a CPU Turbo and now four cores, but is that enough for the right balance of battery runtimes and reasonable Windows performance? ...

Great keyboard; USB 3.0; Good battery runtimes; Very good display; Low energy consumption; Good performance on the road; Microsoft Office Home & Student 2013 (Full)

Webcam quality; Not enough storage (32 GB version); Not enough RAM

Good IPS panels are becoming more frequently used in budget devices.

Asus Transformer Book T100 review: A netbook in hybrid tablet disguise

The 10.1-inch Windows 8.1-based Transformer Book T100 is a well made and attractively priced hybrid tablet. However, its moderate specification and small size make it difficult to recommend as your primary Windows device.

Well made ; High-quality keyboard ; Good battery life ; Affordable price

Cramped keyboard ; 10.1-inch screen seems small in notebook mode ; Few ports, no Ethernet ; Minimal internal storage

The Asus Transformer Book T100 will present many people with the sort of dilemma they may have faced when considering a netbook a few years ago. It functions as a standard Windows computer, running applications and accessing the cloud, and has a decent...

Asus Transformer Book T100 Review

The Asus TransformerBook T100 is perfect for users with basic computing needs that want the flexibility of a convertible notebook without the steep price tag.

Great battery life ; USB 3.0 hub on the keyboard ; Solid performance of the Intel Bay Trail processor ; Affordable price

Insufficient display resolution ; Plastic body and keyboard ; No rear-facing camera ; Unpolished keyboard touchpad

ASUS Transformer Book T100 review: a Windows tablet with netbook roots

We generally don't have time to review lower-end products, but sometimes we see something at such an aggressive price we just have to take it for a spin.

Solid performance, long battery life ; Runs traditional desktop apps ; Screen offers good viewing angles ; Inexpensive, includes keyboard dock ; Almost no bloatware

Cramped, flimsy keyboard ; Cheap build materials ; We wish the screen were brighter

With cheap build quality and a mediocre display, the T100 is far from perfect. But thanks to some solid performance and generous pricing, it still offers incredible bang for your buck.

Asus Transformer Book T100

A long time ago in Techland, Netbooks were a big deal: they were cheap, portable, and effective, if unexciting. Then came tablets, which could do a lot of the same things, but in a more organic, touch-controlled way.

The Asus Transformer Book T100 runs full Windows 8.1, comes with a keyboard, has great battery life, and is a steal if you can find it for $350.

The cramped keyboard feels like an old Netbook's used to; not as fast as zippier, larger, more expensive Windows products; display not that vibrant.

The Asus Transformer Book T100 revives the Netbook value proposition (and Netbook usability issues) in a budget-price 10-inch laptop that doubles as a tablet. You won’t love it, but for sheer bang for the buck, it’s hard to beat.

Asus Transformer Book T100TA (64GB)

For a sub-$400 price, the Asus Transformer Book T100TA is a fully functional Windows 8.1 hybrid tablet, and the natural successor to the netbook ideal from a few years ago. It gives you a bright, usable PC an affordable price. Plus it avoids all of the...

Full Windows 8.1 hybrid tablet. Can run all Windows programs. Light. Great price. 11 hours battery life. Micro-USB recharging. 1TB of cloud storage included (for a year). 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi. Comes with full Microsoft Office Home & Student 2013....

Only 2GB of system memory. Touchy trackpad. Only 31GB of free space on SSD. Smaller than standard keyboard. Slow recharge times

The netbook scene used to be filled with sub-$500 low-powered laptops that were good enough for general use, and were small enough to take everywhere. Then along came tablets like the iPad and Galaxy Note 10.1, but of course to they come with a mobile...

Transformer Book T100 review: This hybrid fills both its tablet and notebook roles well

You know a hybrid machine is living up to its promise when using Windows 8 is enjoyable and makes sense.

Great battery life ; Keyboard dock included ; Very responsive

Flakey touchpad on keyboard ; Cramped keyboard ; Top-heavy in notebook mode

The Transformer Book T100 delivers a solid tablet experience and a good notebook experience in one machine. But it would be even better with a superior keyboard and trackpad.

ASUS Transformer Book T100 Review: Redefining the Entry-Level Windows Notebook

I started out our Chromebook 11 review with a reminder that we are in the midst of a netbook renaissance. Armed with better hardware, a better sense of materials/industrial design and better OSes, it's time for the next round of entry-level,...

It’s tough to sell an entry-level Windows PC these days. You’re sandwiched between a couple of aggressive price points: the Nexus 7 at $229 and the iPad at $499. Traditionally, the PC you’d get between those price points would have mechanical storage,...
