ASUS U6E

The US notebook computer market is a highly competitive space with established brands such as HP, Dell, Apple and Toshiba dominating. Though ASUS is a relatively new name in the US notebook market, it has an extended portfolio of laptops sold in Asia....

Stylish design that's esthetically pleasing. Excellent performance and port selection by ultralight standards-- no compromises due to size here. Keyboard is easy to use, and the notebook comes with a Bluetooth mouse among other goodies. Strong WiFi and...

Display isn't up to LED standards. Audio is a bit thin sounding. Battery sticks out the back

In the clone war of notebook PCs (Apple excluded), the ASUS U6 creates a different look and can hold its own in competing with Sony and Fujitsu ultra-lights. The various processor and graphics options mean you can create a notebook that fits your needs...

Asus U6 Bamboo laptop (Core 2 Duo P8600 Processor 2.4GHz, 3GB RAM)

asus u6 bamboo laptop (core 2 duo p8600 processor 2.4ghz, 3gb ram) review: The bamboo cover and palm rest may seem a little gimmicky at first, but under the organic material lies one of the most fully featured ultraportables in the market.

Great Quality and Price, but one issue!

The battery size issue is not really a negative towards the laptop, but a supply\accessory issue with ASUS. Great laptop overall. Very Stable and feature laden. Recommended! Preferably with a 3-CELL.

As of a while ago, it seems that speed in even the cheap computers are more than fast enough for almost all application with gaming maybe one of the exception. Anyway, I don't game, but like the best, and bought this U6 here which has all the speed and...

The mouse buttons under keyboard are so terrible and hard, I though mine was defective. Luckily, it has gotten a lot easier to click with use. Another issue that I have had, is that I read everywhere that this came with 3-CELL battery, yet I received...

Bought this to be a more portable partner to my Sony Vaio SZ

Overall very pleased with the computer and especially it's performance. I am the type that always wants the newest and best, so saying I'm pleased is saying a lot. Price was excellent here and even cheaper than e Bay, came with $100 rebate, and great...

Loaded with asus utilities such as SMART LOGON (which uses the camera to log you on) that are actually usable. VERY comparable to my much more expensive SZ and slightly faster. This is the first non-Sony I purchase and am pretty pleased. Screen and...

The Asus is a little bit smaller than Sony, but screen has a larger bezel around it. Therefore, either the computer should have been slightly smaller, or a slighlty larger screen should have been put in. The laptop is pretty small, but it comes with a...

Asus U6 Bamboo laptop (Core 2 Duo P8600 Processor 2.4GHz, 3GB RAM)

Unbelievable. The price is unfortunately, out of my range, but the amount you get for that price is stunning. I'm a fan of the bamboo too. It's definitely an eye-catcher.

It's got everything.

None.
