Refurbished failed to boot

for the price it would have been a great deal if it had not died.

Nice ultrabook for homework, touchscreen worked awesome, key layout comfy

System failed to boot after being used the night prior, I didn't even power off the book just put to sleep

Great deal at the right price

Full aluminum build: doesn't feel cheap at all ; Good keyboard and trackpad for the price ; easy access to major components

a bit on the heavier side for a 14 ; battery life isn't the greatest, not bad but could be better

Expired Less Then One Month After Warranty Did

Had the laptop not died as unexpectedly as it did this would have been a 5 egg review. I live in a rural area with no one available locally to fix.

This laptop did exactly what I needed it to do while it was running, and was an excellent value for the price

The laptop died less then one month after the warranty expired, apparently due to some kind of hardware failure. It was working fine the day before, and the next day would not boot

Poor packaging

Just to be clear this review is not of the item itself. I was really looking forward to get this laptop. It came extremely poor packaged. Single brown box with laptop in a plastic bag and 2 flimsy foam holders. The PS brick was thrown in the box on the...

Great little laptop!

Got this laptop for $279 after $100 rebate. I switched the HDD against a SSD Crutial 240GB 7mm and reinstall the OS from scratch to remove bloatwares. Now it is flying (takes about 3 sec to boot up). Touch screen is nice and working well, audio is...

Small, touch screen, Windows 8 x64, UEFI BIOS, Gigabit lan, VT, Hyper Threading, well built with aluminium shell, no dead pixels

Memory soldered, SSD soldered, 1 available memory slot for expansion, wireless N (not AC), HDD is slow to hell...Had to update the BIOS from 207 to 210, battery life is poor

Asus laptop is responsive, but wireless on this is lacking.

So I would say that since all the reviews on newegg show that it has problems with the wireless, I would think ASUS would be fixing that problem. However that isn't the case as of 2/20/14. So if you are willing to replace the wireless card on it then...

Laptop is pretty quick, and the touch screen seems pretty responsive. Now that I replaced the wireless card on the system, it does everything that I want to do

The wireless on this laptop is horrible. I bought this laptop even though all of the other reviews said the same thing thinking it was just a driver issue that needed to be updated. I updated the drivers when it was still on windows 8, and I would get...

Very good buy!

Well the Msata plug positioned to fit a half height SSD but i managed to hook in a Crucial M500 240GB to install windows 8 and use the default Seagate 500GB slim HDD for storage files. Also added a G.Skill 4GB DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) for 8GB total and...

Lower end but powerful Core i3 3217U ; 4GB (integrated on the board) still one slot open ; 500GB Seagate Slim HDD design ; Touch Screen of course ; Gigabit LAN (i have a 150MB down/65MB up) ; Nice mostly brushed metal finish, feels very solid

4GB (integrated on the board) still one slot open but i guess it's necessary to keep the slim design ; MSata connector designed to fit half height SSD(See other thoughts)

Wireless is horrible everything else great

Ordered this intel wireless internal adapter since the wireless NIC that is on the laptop doesn't work properly.

System is pretty quick and touch screen is very responsive

The internal wireless card is horrible. I updated the wireless drivers and still get limited / no connection and when it does connect, it will only connect for a few minutes. I updated to windows 8.1 and updated the drivers again and still having the...

For under 400$ this is a STEAL. I would suggest investing in an ssd to go along with it.

I wasn't sure what to expect buying a refurbished laptop so I was taking a gamble. But I was pleasantly surprised to find it looked brand new. No scratches or fingerprints. It's a really sharp looking ultrabook. I like the touchscreen way more than I...

A little on the heavy side for an ultrabook

Broke within 18 months

I bought this computer on June 2013 and it worked very well for about 1.5 years. One day I closed the lid and the computer never came back up. The computer would power on for about a second and simply die, it wouldn't even load the screen. I took it to...
