Asus V1Jp-AK023E

This Vista Business laptop has a distinguished look and performance to spare. It weighs in at a fairly portable 6.5 pounds, and includes a very sharp, very bright 15.4-inch screen. At $1749 (as of 5/9/07), it's reasonably priced for a 2-GHz Core 2 Duo...

Speedy and stylish

Hard-to-operate mouse buttons

This powerful, distinguished-looking business laptop is hampered by stiff mouse buttons.

Asus V1JP with Windows Vista Ultimate Review

I had my second notebook, an ASUS V6V for almost two years. I have been looking at Core 2 Duo notebooks since they were announced last summer. I was not in a real hurry to get a new notebook, I really wanted to wait for a system that was the perfect...

I tried two games under Vista, Oblivion and World of Warcraft. Both games ran without problems, and I was really satisfied with the performance and quality of graphics

Asus V1J review

It's all about performance...

Performance hard to beat

Display not suitable for gamers

Has its share of quirks but performance is hard to fault

ASUS V1J

The V1J doesn't come cheap but it offers very solid all-round performance and will suit a wide range of users thanks to its fingerprint reader, spill-proof keyboard and high resolution, non-glossy display.

Non-glossy display ; Spill-proof keyboard ; Fingerprint reader

Anonymous design

Battery life was commendable but hardly staggering. The V1J lasted 210 minutes in our MobileMark 2005 test, and 170 minutes during DVD playback -- more than long enough to watch an average movie or a few episodes of Lost.

Asus V1J review

The V1J is part of Asus' security-oriented laptop series. A fairly up-to-date specification, integrated fingerprint reader and inoffensive design is intended to appeal to a cross-section of users who work with sensitive data.

Non-glossy display; spill-proof keyboard; fingerprint reader.

Consumer review (newegg.com)

Worth all 5 stars and then some!

This notebook was as close as I could get to being exactly what I needed.

There's really not alot to complain about but just like anything else, nothing is perfect.
