Review Update Asus VivoBook U38N-C4004H Notebook

IPS update. Do you want to attract envious looks? Everybody's got

High-quality material; Flat and light case; Excellent connection distribution; Touchpad generously sized; Only gets moderately warm; Lit keyboard; Compact power supply; Matte surfaces; Very good touch display

Fans constantly audible; RJ-45 only via adapter; Comparably short battery run times

The loud fans don't fit at all in the high-quality overall concept. Did no one at Asus try out the 13-inch device?

Asus VivoBook U38N review – the multimedia ultra-portable

The Asus VivoBook U38N is a sleek ultraportable that comes with a touchscreen and manages to offer better graphic performances then the average ultrabook, that is better suited for gaming on the go.

fast, sleek looking, offer an awesome IPS touchscreen, can deal with games, run cool, has a decent price, packs an alright keyboard

noisy, rather poor battery life, the clickpad was very stiff

All in all, ultrabooks like the Zenbook Prime UX31A still hold the upper hand when it comes to raw power and the thin and light form factor. But the U38N is not a lot thicker or bulkier and for multimedia and games, it could be a more suitable laptop...
