Asus VivoTab Smart (64GB, black)

Asus, known for its creative designs and outre hardware (such as the recent Taichi dual-screen laptop), has its own unique take on the Atom-powered Windows 8 tablet. The VivoTab Smart ME400 -- if you can decypher Asus' naming conventions, more power to...

The Asus VivoTab Smart ME400 is as inexpensive as Atom Windows 8 tablets get, and the add-on keyboard/touch-pad combo is excellent.

The keyboard doesn't actually attach, which can be a hassle, and the folding magnetic cover takes practice to set up properly.

In a sea of hard-to-distinguish Atom-powered Windows 8 tablets, the Asus VivoTab Smart ME400 stands out a bit thanks to clever accessories.

"Amazing Tablet for the Price!"

I bought ASUS Smart for $350 (free shipping + tax) this last week! For an R&D professional, this is what I was looking for. I downloaded the MS Office Suite 2013 (had it already), used the PPT and Excel and presented my work using the

Need to add a 32 or 64 gb micro sdhc card to have enough storage to be useable.

"Accessories make this Tablet, what accessories?"

I agree with everything the reviewer says in the review regarding the Vivo Tab Smart, it's a really nice little device, I've bought one and it's currently my favourite toy. But as the review states, it's the accessories that bring it all together.

ATOM - pretty nippy compared to netbooks I've used. This is what the Atom should have been. On comparing it with friends Surface RT's I'd say this is a better performer.

Accessories, Accessories, Accessories!!!!
