ASUS W5F reviewed

That 12.1-inch ASUS W5F ultra-portable pulled an enthusiastic review over at PC Perspective. They ran a 1.66GHz T2300 Core Duo model packing 512MB of DDR2 RAM and a 5400rpm 100GB disk through the gauntlet of tests and found this "attention magnet" to...

Asus W5F review: Asus W5F

Attractive wide-screen display; decent-size keyboard; good speaker quality; impressive selection of ports, including S/PDIF output; built-in dual-layer DVD burner; 100GB hard drive.

Expensive; case seems cheap; poor camera image quality; lousy support terms.

The Asus W5F provides a number of great multimedia features, but because of its relatively high price, suspect case, and poor warranty, we can't recommend it over similar laptops from major manufacturers.

Asus W5F review

Asus' W5F is a great-looking notebook. Its graphite-coloured chassis and blue LEDs make it the most stylish computer here.

The W5F is a stylish and powerful ultra-portable notebook with all the features you're ever likely to need. It's not particularly light, though, and its battery isn't great.

Asus W5F

A compact laptop that includes unexpected extras such as an integrated optical drive and webcam, but is expensive against similarly specced rivals.

Attractive white chassis ; Integrated optical drive in a portable package ; Good speaker quality ; Integrated Webcam

Expensive ; Poor image quality from the onboard camera

Service And Support ASUS offers a two-year limited global warranty with all its notebooks. Should a problem occur with the unit, you can send it to any ASUS service centre around the world and get it repaired using the warranty card. For users who...
