The ASUS W5fe SideShow, the first true SideShow laptop, reveals the potential of its small secondary screen; if only they'd come out with more gadgets to use with it.

Long-awaited SideShow display. Two bright screens. Laptop runs cool. Good performance. Big hard drive.

Lack of downloadable gadgets. No video support. Some glitches with the SideShow display. Small battery (three-cell).

The Asus W5 is not longer available but I recommend the Asus UL20A as an even-better replacement for the Asus W5.

When Microsoft started work on Vista, notebooks were still something of a minority, and anyone who has spent any time with the new OS will know that power management and mobility feel almost an after thought

Elegant design, Makes use of SideShow

Slightly bulkier than normal, Battery life
