Asus W7S User Review

ASUS has slowly and steadily gained a reputation for churning out quality yet still affordable laptops. Whilst still establishing its brand in the US market, this Taiwanese company has a bigger presence in the Asian and European regions. For this...

Toggle volume switch ; Location of USB ports ; Bluetooth mouse and laptop bag bundled ; Good screen and viewing angles ; Quiet fan ; Solid build ; Card reader ; 2 year global warranty ; Sleek styling ; Latchless system

Exhaust vent on right hand side ; Generic speakers ; Enter' and 'Backspace' key a bit short ; Short battery life ; Bloatware ; 512MB onboard RAM ; Palm rest and keyboard gets uncomfortably warm

People say that first impressions always last, and I believe that this is true with this laptop. The first few times I used it I fell in love with the screen, and then you start to notice the little details that make this notebook beautiful such as the...

ASUS W7S

The ASUS W7S offers powerful performance in a small portable package, and considering that it has discrete graphics, we were surprised it had excellent battery life.

Integrated Webcam, TPM security chip, Discrete graphics card, Long battery life

Design could be more aesthetically pleasing, Only three dedicated shortcut buttons, Expensive

Asus 13.3" U30Jc Laptop, Optimus-Enabled Mobility

It seems like just yesterday that we commented on how many new CULV notebooks had hit the scene, and how Intel had seemingly hit the proverbial sweet spot. These low-voltage Core processors fit perfectly between high-end netbooks and low-end mainstream...

Fantastic Value at Sub-$900 ; Gorgeous Aluminum Design ; Great Trackpad and Keyboard ; Stellar Multimedia Playback ; NVIDIA Optimus

Glossy Display ; So-so Battery Life ; Added Bloatware ; No USB 3.0

In our SiSoftware Sandra tests, the Asus U30Jc stood up quite well against the competition, thanks to its Core i3-350M. The NVIDIA Optimus solution, which seamlessly switches between the integrated Intel GMA set and the discrete GT 310M (512MB) GPU,...

Asus X70IO-TY021C. Heavy multimedia laptop

With the K-series, Asus deliver a line of heavy multimedia laptops. Mobility is not exactly the focus on this hety K70IO; instead it gains its strength from its rock-solid hardware. The price is reasonable and this laptop should be able to meet...

Worked six weeks in eight months

It is very difficult to find a phone number for support. Twice, they lost my address or email. Parts replaced at random without explanation. Support group has less knowledge than I do. ASUS has an LCD problem that they will not admit to. ASUS had a...

Looks good

After six weeks of ownership, the LCD became erratic. Sent it back for repair in October, 2013 and finally got it back on April 21, 2014. The display now not working in another mode. After three hours with the support group, got another RMA and it is...

Good Device, Mine Had Issues

If the replacement unit works as it should, I can honestly say that this is the best laptop purchase I've ever had. I've owned several over the last couple years, and the portability of this one is astounding. Don't expect it to be a...

The Zenbook is incredibly thin and light, by far my favorite laptop I have owned. The SSD makes it boot rapidly (when it boots, I'll get to that later), and the screen is excellent. It comes with a USB to ethernet adapter and a mini-VGA to VGA adapter,...

My Zenbook had some issues booting. Immediately after the first Windows update it had to run a chkdsk and quite a few sectors had to be repaired. After that it would not run Windows updates at all, had BSOD, and wouldn't let me uninstall programs...

Just got mine

All in all, I think I'm satisfied with this purchase. I was going for a super light, super thin laptop I can use for school (anything but a tablet!), and this seems like it'll work out fine. ;3

Mine just arrived today, and I have to say, it certainly feels nice. Light, very thin, super quick startup... Decent specs on such a little thing

My charger is a little... finicky. It charges well enough, but if you rotate the male part that enters the computer, it stops ; I've noticed what others here are complaining about the keyboard sometimes missing keystrokes. It seems to me that this only...
