Asus X200MA Netbook Review

A tiny companion. Small, light, affordable: pretty much all old-school netbooks fit the bill in that regard. To make them truly usable, they also need to be equipped with good input devices, a decent display and feature a long battery life. Despite the...

Affordable, Light & compact, Usable keyboard, Display with good viewing angle stability, Fast enough for home office and Internet, Quiet, runs cool

Maintenance not possible without disassembly, Display too dark, Clickpad not integrated well into the chassis, Slow HDD, Comparatively high power consumption..., ...resulting in moderate battery run times

It's too bad that the X200MA doesn't fare better as far as its power consumption and battery life are concerned, because that in turn hampers the - otherwise very decent - mobility.

Expert Review

Much of what I like about the ASUS X200 isn't under the hood. It's a sleek machine, thin, light, and attractive, though the black frame around the display on the white model is odd. More importantly, it's well-built, and the surface is refreshingly...

Asus Vivobook X200MA review

The netbook makes a remarkable comeback

Its size ; Great value for money ; Touchscreen ; Connectivity options ; Impressive battery life

Performance isn't so hot ; Keyboard needs improvement ; No Bluetooth

The Asus X200MA should be on your shortlist if you're after an affordable laptop that has a touchscreen and comes in a pint-size form factor.

Asus X200MA review

The Asus X200MA is a super-cheap laptop that's well made, but its performance lets it down

Asus X200MA review

Lots of storage, but shortcomings see the Asus trail the budget front-runners

This is a decent laptop for the money, and, with 500GB of local storage, it’s a more flexible PC than the storage-constrained HP Stream 11. If you’re happy working in the cloud, however, the HP is the better choice.

Asus X200MA-KX366B laptop

If you're looking for a low-cost laptop to get you going on the basics, Asus is aiming to have you covered with its latest Windows 8-powered portable PC, the X200MA, which is priced up at just £199. With plenty of Chrome OS laptops vying for your...

Sadly, this is a case of Buy Cheap, Buy Twice. It’s simply just too slow, even for basic, everyday tasks. Chromebooks have come on in leaps and bounds in the last year: we’d pick a nippy Chrome OS number for the same price or a bit more over this...

Update on Asus X200MA-RCLT07

When these computers work, they are a good deal. The refurbishing process should at least catch the problems with the batteries not charging. 11 problem computers out of 24 is too much. I will be contacting Asus for repairs or replacement.

The computer works well when you get a refurbished model that is truly refurbished and everything is working

Out of 24 of this model purchased for use in projects in Africa ; 8 have batteries that will not take a charge ; 2 came with incorrect power supplies ; 1 had a stuck "S" key and the power indicator light didn't come on ; 1 had a mouse track pad that...
