Asus X751MA-TY148H Notebook Review Update

Bay Trail Office. The Asus X751MA offers a simple 17.3-inch laptop with a Pentium CPU. The performance is not powerful, but the laptop offers a lot of storage space and 8 GB of RAM.

Works silently, Barely heats up, A lot of storage space

Only 12 months warranty, No maintenance flap

The Asus X751MA-TY148H offers sufficient performance for office and Internet use. The laptop runs quietly and barely heats up. The storage is sufficient thanks to the 1 TB HDD. Contrast and brightness of the panel are decent. In our opinion, the...

Asus X751L budget laptop review

There's a fair selection of ports around the black plastic casework. Three USB ports, all USB 3.0, is a useful number to have ranged on the left side, when many budget designs are limited to a mixture of older USB 2.0 and one USB 3.0. Alongside these...

Larger-laptop seekers may find something to like in this 17.3-inch model. In its favour is a decent CPU, storage capacity and memory, and the screen is not the worst we've seen.

Works great with Win10 and few fix's

The ribbon connectors on the board just plain suck - Its why the touch pad doesn't work and why it has power button issues . It takes about 10 minutes to open up , re secure the ribbons and button it up to have a fully functional laptop..

cheap and capable

had to open up case and secure connections , The is Bios is terrible , i haven't yet been able to dual boot the machine.

Great well performing machine!

- I love the overall design of the laptop - The keyboard is comfortable and easy to use. The touchpad is HUGE - The Geforce GTX 950M graphics chip coupled with the 5th gen Core i7 CPU are a great combo for gaming. I can play just about any mainstream...

- Because of amount of processing power the laptop has, battery life suffers. I can get 2 hours of battery life with light web browsing. About 30-40 minutes when gaming. A larger battery would help. - The touchpad though sensitive, accurate and large,...

ASUS X751MA

Had it a little less than a year when The power supply died, and I can't figure out how to open the laptop. It's sealed and I can't seem to get it open and I can't find anything on you tube so I will definitely not purchase another one of these or a...

3 USB ports, quick start works well

Has windows 8.1, but if you can get the free upgrade from Microsoft to windows 10 which in my opinion works better. Get the start button back also. The battery is inside so you will not be able to replace it yourself (see what I wrote in other about...

Good

Overall, this is a good laptop and I will update it if any problems arise

IPS display GTX 950 is enough for the casual games I play (Civ 5, Company of Heroes.etc) Broadwell i7 is no slouch Free upgrade to Windows 10

Poor battery life, around 2/3 hours surfing the web

Would have been good but....

Not sure if my unit is just defective (and since the nature of the problems seems elusive I'd not had time to track it down). I normally like ASUS's AMD suff, this is the first Intel based ASUS system I've bought and I find it's reliability very...

Nice set of features, bluetooth, wifi touchscreen and quadcore. full num pad and decent storage/memory (1TB/8GiB)

Crashes (required cutting the power then turning back on) intermitently (upto several times an hour). Using bluetooth may cause wifi to disconnect. touchpad mouse and touchscreen dont always respond well (and my touchpad seems to have just died)

Some issues.

The non-backlit keyboard would not be an issue if only there were a volume dial. :(

I love the touchscreen. Pretty fast processor. Good sound. Nice bright screen

I wish it had come with directions of how to this computer and also how use Windows 8. I have no idea what I'm doing and am stumbling to do basic things. Where's Freecell? Spider Solitaire ; I don't know why the number pad is so tiny and tight since...
