Asus Zenbook 3 UX390UA-XH74-BL

After Apple released the very minimalist 12-inch MacBook laptop in 2015 , we saw a handful of similar designs, with Core M processors and ultra-shallow keyboards, and the Samsung Ativ Book 9 came closest to mirroring it.

Powerful Core i7 processor in a slim, portable package with an excellent touchpad. A helpful USB-C mini-dock is included.

The 12.5-inch display is locked at 1,920x1,080 resolution, and it isn't a touchscreen. Lots of extra bloatware. Battery life isn't as good as the MacBook. Other similarly configured systems cost less.

The Asus ZenBook 3 mimics many of the best features of Apple's 12-inch MacBook, but in a Windows version with a more powerful processor.

Fast, slim, and handsome, Asus' Zenbook 3 is the super-slim laptop to beat.

Asus ZenBook 3 UX390UA

Designed to beat the MacBook and competitors like the HP Spectre at their superslim game, the Asus ZenBook 3 UX390UA tips the scales at just 2 pounds but offers heavyweight performance, thanks to an optional 7th-Generation Core i7 CPU and a...

ASUS ZenBook 3 review: When Windows 10 meets the MacBook

The ASUS ZenBook 3 is the company's take on a MacBook challenger. At just 11.9mm thick and weighing 910g, this is one of the most portable laptops on the market right now. It also comes equipped with Intel's latest Kaby Lake processors, which offer...

Extremely sleek and attractive design ; Features more powerful U-series processors despite slim build ; Very light and portable ; Good battery life

Only one USB Type-C port ; Shallow key travel distance ; No high resolution display option

That being said, this is the

Asus ZenBook 3 Review Tim Schiesser

Of all the ultrathin laptops I've reviewed, the ZenBook is most like Apple's MacBook from a design perspective. It packs a 12.5" display, an edge-to-edge keyboard, and a single USB-C port for charging and all connectivity. Where the ZenBook pulls away...

Excellent thin and light metal build. Packs all the performance of a full-power 'Kaby Lake' processor. More affordable than the MacBook for better hardware.

Only one USB-C port is bad. Average battery life and keyboard.

Asus ZenBook 3 (UX390UA)

It would be easy to say "honey who shrunk the ZenBook?" Sure in some ways the 12.5", 2.0 pound ZenBook 3 is an impressively miniaturized version of their higher end 13.3" ZenBook models. But the UX390UA ZenBook 3 is more than that: it's a 12" MacBook...

Madly thin and light yet rigid. Fast! Great looking, lovely IPS display, good trackpad, closer to normal keyboard than 12" MacBook

Casualties of the size and weight: only 1 USB-C port and headphone jack. No touch screen option

I think you can tell that I like the Asus ZenBook 3 UX390UA quite a lot. If you've lusted over the 12" MacBook but are a Windows person, or if you've looked at the LG Gram laptops and found their lack of rigidity disconcerting, this could be the...

Asus ZenBook 3 (UX390UA) Review and Ratings

With its rigid 2-pound frame, impressive "Kaby Lake" speed, stunning audio, and surprising battery life, the ZenBook 3 is the new Windows 10 hyperportable to beat.

Incredibly slim and light ; Class-leading battery life ; Surprisingly effective speakers for a thin laptop ; Attractive Gorilla Glass-covered screen

Pricey ; Touch pad feels overly slick ; Just one built-in port (a USB Type-C)

If you're in the market for an extremely thin, small-screen laptop as we head into the end of 2016, you certainly have no shortage of options.

Asus ZenBook 3 review

So thin, so beautiful

Ultra-slim design ; Intel Core i7 power with a novel cooling solution ; Competitively priced

Copycat styling

More than a MacBook knock off, the Asus ZenBook 3 brings a thinner and lighter design with more power and a novel cooling system, but lofty battery life projections leave us wary.

Asus Zenbook 3 preview: A superthin MacBook killer? - Pocket-lint

It seems every Computex Asus manages to get us to fall in love (or perhaps lust) with its latest Zenbook. And this year's offering, the Asus Zenbook

This really looks like it is going to be a beauty of a machine. It will come in three colours, Rose Gold, Quartz Grey and the divine Royal Blue.
