very solid chassis with metal braces, neat screen, powerful WiFi antenna

too much noise of some elements (DVD drive, Touchpad buttons, right arrow key), tiny Touchpad, poor optical drive from Philips

Some impatient users may find annoying the fact that the lid snaps loudly when being closed (if one doesn't hold it until the very end)

Benq JoyBook S61 v30

Lighweight, good battery life, doubles as a media center

Trackpad does not have scrolling function, and keys are not located in normal positions

If you need a notebook that will last for four hours while on the road, and double as a media centre once you get back to base, then look no further.

BenQ Joybook S61

There's a lot to love about BenQ's ultra-portable media centre notebook, even if battery life isn't ideal.

Highly portable ; Excellent raw performance ; Great software suite ; Impressive networking options

Flaky TV reception ; No bundled remote ; Relatively poor battery life

Even though battery life isn't exceptional and great TV reception isn't guaranteed, the Joybook S61 is sure to impress most users thanks to its liberal slathering of work and entertainment features.
