Review Dell Latitude E7240 Notebook

Ultra-Business. Dell has updated its Latitude series and added a

system noise during low load; docking connector; interface layout; WWAN is optionally available; system performance; power consumption; weight; keyboard

system noise during full load; performance falls under full load; no Bluetooth, no fingerprint reader; very high price

just began to update their product range. Lenovo's ThinkPad X240 with IPS display could become a particularly strong competitor.

Dell Latitude E7240 Ultrabook review: Small, fast, and elegant

You'd be hard-pressed to find a flaw in this nicely realized 12-inch, touchscreen Ultrabook.

Very good benchmark performance ; High-res multi-touch display ; Good input ergonomics

Heavy for its size ; Small SSD (128GB)

It's pricey, but Dell's Latitude E7240 is about as good as it gets in the realm of 12.5-inch Ultrabooks.

Dell Latitude E7240 review: A nearly-great ultrabook

The Latitude E7240 is solidly made and well connected, with impressive performance and a thoughtful design. It's let down by a poor keyboard and a lack of configuration options, transforming what could have been a superb business ultrabook into merely...

Solid and tough chassis design ; Very good performance ; Mobile broadband (HSPA+) ; Excellent sound quality

Heavy for an ultrabook ; Keyboard has too much flex for comfort ; Limited (all-SSD) storage capacity ; Short on customisation options

The Dell Latitude E7240 is a curate's egg of an ultrabook. It's solidly made and well connected, with impressive performance and excellent audio output. It also benefits from a cable-conscious attitude to the arrangement of ports and connectors.

Dell Latitude E7240 Touch

The Dell Latitude E7240 Touch is a compact sub-3.5 pound business ultrabook with a 1080p touch screen and MIL-SPEC certification. It's a good choice if you have a team testing whether Windows 8 will work for your organization, but there are less...

Compact ultrabook. Three USB 3.0 ports, HDMI, Ethernet, and mini-DisplayPort in a 12-inch ultrabook. Comfortable, old-scholl style keyboard. MIL-SPEC rating

No pointing stick. A hint of keyboard flex. Premium pricing

The Dell Latitude E7240 Touch is a technology-forward system that will interest SMB and enterprise business IT managers evaluating Windows 8. It has ramped-up specs, including a 12.5-inch, 1,920-by-1,080 resolution touch screen, runs Windows 8, and...

Dell Latitude E7240 Touch Review

The Dell Latitude E7240 Touch sports a vibrant full HD touch display, an excellent keyboard, swift performance and strong security in a sleek design, but its battery life falls short.

Attractive carbon fiber design; Bright and colorful 1920 x 1080 display; Comfortable keyboard; Solid everyday performance; Three-year warranty with onsite service

Below-average battery life; A little pricey

The Dell Latitude E7240 Touch sports a vibrant full HD touch display, an excellent keyboard, swift performance and strong security in a sleek design, but its battery life falls short.

Great 1080p touchscreen, Exterior looks good, feels solid, Three USB 3.0 ports, Three-year warranty

Pricey as configured, Rear-mounted ports and power plug can be inconvenient in tight spaces, No VGA port, Smallish touch pad

So if you want touch and a high-resolution display (which is great to have for multitasking, let alone any image or video editing ambitions), you'll certainly have to pay a premium. And while the ThinkPad may cost a bit less, it comes with just a...

Dell Latitude E7240 review

A stylish business Ultrabook, but its poor screen and cramped keyboard hold it back

The Dell Latitude E7240 is an attractive business ultraportable, but underneath its good looks is a fairly average laptop. At £947 (£789 ex VAT), it's also very expensive and not nearly as good value as the similarly priced Core i5 version of the

REVIEW: Dell Latitude 12 7000 Series (E7240)

Dell has been a long-time player in the enterprise market and its Latitude range of mobile computers are a key part of that strategy. The latest addition to the Latitude range doesn't have the eye-catching design of convertible devices such as the...

Rugged design ; Intel IPT, WiDi and NFC ; Optional WiGig docking ; Superior manageability ; Optional touch display

Not very attractive ; Touch heavy ; Disappointing battery life ; Too much flex in keyboard ; Low-res screen is poor

Most of the Latitude E7240’s ports are located at the back, including power, HDMI, two USB 3.0, and Gigabit Ethernet. Optional docking ports can add legacy ports, such as serial, parallel, and PS/2. There’s another USB 3.0 port, mini-DisplayPort and...
