It may be a bit slow, but the CQ58 will get you online for several hours at a time, and let you run Microsoft Office for less than £250.00. We'd recommend stepping up to the 4GB model if you can afford it, but the CQ58 definitely represents good value...

This is a competent laptop that I'd say is good for your average college student or other people on a budget. The only thing I can't speak for is the battery life as I haven't yet used it on battery for more than an hour.

Functional, easy to use, your typical laptop. Capable of surfing, writing/administrative tasks and it can even handle some light gaming thanks to the video card

The CPU leaves a little to be desired, but I knew that going in. Also, the touch pad is textured, so prolonged use can irritate your fingers. I'd suggest getting a mouse if you're going to be using this for long periods of time
