Dosen't like to connect to the internet

I like to play sims and games on facebook but this laptop gets hot way to fast after about 30 minutes I have a cooling pad but it still gets way to hot to fast.

Windows 7, Dvd/cd rom drive

Takes me a while before it will connect to the internet but my husbands acer always connects right away. Gets Hot fast not a gaming coumputer

Some flaws.

Definitely not worth $450. This laptop overheats when running video games and it wont play most DVDs. Plus, the speakers are super quiet. My old Toshiba was a lot better than this one, and about the same price. I'm not impressed with Compaq at all....

Good pc for the price

Arrives with a ton of spam software pre loaded already killing the small amount of available memory. 2gb of ram is not much specially when windows 7 is using over 1 gb. mouse pad and buttons feel like very cheap plastic. A ram upgrade is a MUST
