Review Alienware M11x Subnotebook

The Midget amongst the Gamers. Until now, Alienware has rather be

Chic design; Excellent workmanship; Extensive lighting; Quite a lot of connections; Fairly good application and gaming performance; Long battery life; Good input devices; Fast hard disk

Reflective, poor luminosity and sensitive display; A weak CPU in comparison to the graphic card; Wrist-rest gets warm; Noisy under load; Screwed battery

There aren't actually any. The Alienware M11x has cleverly settled into a market niche - that of the currently rather thinly equipped gaming capable notebooks.

Review Alienware M11x R2 Subnotebook

Mini Gamer 2.0. Alienware, up until now better known for its big luxury-gamers, has surprised the notebook branch with a high-performance subnotebook, the M11x, a few months ago. Now the manufacturer introduces the subtly renewed M11x R2 that mainly...

Alienware M11x Review

The terms petite and gaming notebook are about as incongruous as self-restraint and Wall Street, so our curiosity about Alienware's M11x was naturally mixed with skepticism. Could this sub–five pound, 11-inch rig do much more than play aged or anemic...

Uberportability, robust gaming, and long battery life in one kick-ass package

No optical drive; no Express Card; old-school hybrid graphics solution

Frankly, we’re amazed at Alienware’s accomplishment. Are there sacrifices? Sure. The biggest being the lack of an optical drive. But all things considered, that seems a fair trade for an otherwise thoroughly outfitted ultraportable that can actually...

Alienware M11x (second revision)

In my review of the original Alienware M11x, I called the system a revelation for gamers: Finally, here was an ultraportable laptop with enough muscle to play the latest games at good quality and performance levels and without worrying about anemic...

Fantastic performance ; AlienFX customizable lighting

Reduced battery life from first revision ; Display has poor vertical viewing angles

A boost to the internal hardware gives the second revision of the M11x substantially stronger performance, but battery life takes a hit.

Alienware M11x R2 Review

Dell enjoyed overnight success with the Alienware M11x earlier this year. This 11-inch notebook outperforms many larger laptops and is priced below $1000. Unfortunately for Dell, consumers quickly started asking for an Alienware M11x with Intel Core i7...

Ultraportable gaming notebook ; Fantastic design and durability ; Better CPU options and Nvidia Optimus

No matte screen option ; Integrated battery ; Not much better than the original M11x

The Alienware M11x R2 is every bit as amazing as the original M11x released earlier this year. Although there are other notebooks in the 13-inch and 14-inch sizes that provide excellent gaming performance, the Alienware M11x is still the only game in...

Alienware M11x

If you're a PC gamer sick of lugging around an 8- to 10-pound monster with awful battery life just to play games, Alienware's M11x is your salvation. This 11.6-inch ultraportable laptop has enough power to play all the latest titles while making only...

AlienFX customizable lighting ; Fantastic performance

Display has poor vertical viewing angles ; Fan noise gets a little loud

In the M11x, gamers finally have a fully capable notebook that's easily portable and offers great battery life.

Alienware M11x Review

It's usually pretty straightforward: an 11.6-inch notebook will deliver battery life but lack grunt, while a larger machine is more likely to pack performance at the expense of liberty from a power point. The Alienware M11x promises to change all that;...
