Long battery life; Above average configuration options; Many support and warranty options; Robust case; Good input devices; Excellent keyboard labels; Vivid Colors; Good system performance; Fast hard drive

Unhandy interface arrangement; High viewing angle dependence in vertical direction; Display surface reflects heavily; High emissions under full load

Acer Aspire Timeline 3810T, Acer Aspire Travelmate 8371, Samsung Q320, are all available or announced with dedicated graphic card and on par with the Inspiron 13z in terms of size and performance.

Dell Inspiron 13z Review

The Dell Inspiron 13z is a basic 13-inch laptop with good looks and acceptable performance.

Comfortable Keyboard with Tactile Pushback ; Fantastic Touchpad Customization ; Consistent Performance

Annoying Port Covers ; Below Average Sound System ; Lackluster Fan

The Dell Inspiron 13z’s strengths are also its curse, as it is the jack of all trades master of none. Besides its comfortable keyboard and customizable touchpad there is no real selling point here, but there are also no glaring flaws excluding its rage...

Dell Inspiron 13z

The Dell Inspiron 13z is a stylish looking ultraportable, with a clear design identity and reasonable price. Though not quite an ultrabook thanks to a few unchecked boxes on Intel's specification list—it's a tad too thick, and it lacks the flash cache...

Stylish design. Intel Core i5-3317u processor

Irritating port covers. Lots of bloatware

The Dell Inspiron 13z is a stylish looking ultraportable, but its strong performance and hardware are marred by clumsy port covers and extra software.

Dell Inspiron 13z

Dell's re-imagined Inspiron line continues to push the boundaries of what one can expect from this long-standing mainstream/budget laptop family. For years, an Inspiron was a bulky plastic box designed to offer competent computing at a reasonable...

The Dell Inspiron 13z is a slim, low-cost 13-inch laptop with performance to match more-expensive systems.

The plastic body feels cheap, as do the ports flaps and small touch pad.

With the same CPU as you find in ultrabooks that cost a lot more, the Dell Inspiron 13z is a budget laptop that holds its head up high.

Dell Inspiron 13z

We have reviewed many high end gaming systems in the past from both Alienware and parent company Dell, but today we take a look at something slightly different - the new Inspiron 13z. The Inspiron 13z has been designed by Dell to enter into the market...

Dell have managed to create one of the most affordable and well rounded laptops we have tested in our labs, there really are no weaknesses at all - not only does the machine run cool with an almost 10 hour battery life but you can burn media without...

Awesome so far!

overall if you can grab this laptop for 400 dollars it is awesome for a student or basic user who wants portability, features, and speed for a pretty decent price so far I've had it about a month and no issues, will update later in case anything bad...

Lightweight, Sleek, Portable, Fast for the money, Seemingly good wifi (wifi connections are good for me although other reviews may not agree with this), Boots up nicely for a 5400rpm hd, 6 gigs of ram is a nice upgrade compared to the average 4gigs ;...

my main cons are as follows ; chiclet keyboard looks nice but slows my typing speed by about 15 wpm compared to a regular keyboard, the piece of plastic surrounding the keyboard depresses into the computer a bit when I press a key (not a big deal at...

better options available for money.

newegg forced me to write something here. I don't have any pros to offer however

hardware failure first month, dell sent a pickup tag, and repaired it. but then software (OS?) failed and machine won't restart ; dell sent out a recovery DVD. what's the problem with that? the machine does not have a dvd drive, uses usb flash drive....

DELL 13z (i13z-8864sLV)

Dell has sold a number of different version of the 13z. This specific model is the Inspiron 5323 if you are looking on their website for support/drivers.

For the price that I paid I think the hardware is pretty good. I replace the HDD with an SSD. Be aware, that as this is in the Ultrabook style, normal 2.5" hard drives won't fit, you need the slimmer 7mm ; I really like the keyboard and touch pad. The...

Lose 1/2 egg for the port covers and 1/2 for the LCD ; The port covers are a joke and I leave a USB receiver for a mouse plugged in so the one cover is always sticking out. I'm sure they are either going to break off, or it might just cut them off. I...
