Dell Vostro 3350

The Dell Vostro 3350 is an all-around terrific small business laptop, packed with the future-proofed features and long battery life.

Budget-friendly. Best of breed battery life. Good performance. Excellent keyboard. Two USB 3.0 ports. Fast spinning hard drive.

Humongous battery is an eye-sore.

Dell Inspiron i1470-3282CRD review: Dell Inspiron i1470-3282CRD

Dell Inspiron i1470-3282CRD

Thin and trim for a 14-inch laptop; attractive design; roomy and comfortable keyboard; surprisingly impressive audio output; touch pad supports gestures, such as two-finger scrolling.

Application performance lags far behind similarly priced laptops; only 802.11b/g Wi-Fi.

With an ultralow-voltage CPU, the Dell Inspiron 1470-3282 runs longer but slower than competing laptops. We're not thrilled with the performance hit, but we still found lots to like about this well-designed, 14-inch laptop.

Design and surfaces; Good interface supply; Chiclet keyboard with illumination; Matt display surface; Good multimedia performance; Convincing battery runtimes

Case's stability; Wobbly display lid; Low contrast and black value; Noise level during load; Speaker's poor sound quality; 12 month warranty ex-factory

Review Of Dell Inspiron i1470-3282CRD

There is a thin line between notebooks and netbooks. This notebook falls into that category. While the slow processor will make it almost a netbook, there are some more features which will drag this device out of netbook category. Now, a net book is the...

Great battery life, thin, touch pad supports gestures, multi touch scrolling, comfortable keyboard

Too slow, only 802.11b/g Wi-Fi

This laptop is good for basic computing work. A great battery life and features like optical drive will go well with a basic user. But this is certainly not a notebook for gaming enthusiasts.

Review: Dell Vostro 3350

Excellent build quality; Ergonomics; Excellent battery life; Comes with service manual

Gets a little hot after some time; Poor speaker quality; A bit expensive

The Dell Vostro 3350 is an excellent portable laptop with rock-solid stability and good performance for most day-to-day computing activities. The 13.3" anti-glare display is easy on the eyes, while the ergonomic keyboard is a joy to use. While the...

Dell Vostro 3350 review

Previous Dell Vostro business laptops have been Jacks of all Trades; Tom Morgan looks at the new Vostro 3350 to see if it is now a master of everything combining features and performance with battery life and portability.

Frequent travellers looking for a portable laptop that doesn’t sacrifice an optical drive for mobility will appreciate the Vostro 3350; it combines superb battery life, fast performance and excellent styling into a compact package at a reasonable price.

Dell Inspiron 1470, a step up from a netbook without compromising on battery life

What do you call a CULV laptop that doesn't look like a CULV laptop? Meet Dell's thin and light Inspiron 1470.

The Inspiron offers enough of an all-round package to make it a tempting proposition for an entry-level system or student laptop. At $1199, the price is also tempting, and you could even opt for a lower spec to save $200, if price is a crucial decider...
