Dell Studio 1535 laptop

I received my Dell Studio 1535 two months ago. I was particularly interested by the high perfomance of the latter (Intel Core 2 Duo @ 2Ghz, ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3450, 2Gb RAM) for a price more than correct (about € 700). I was very happy to find

Dell Studio 1535 review

The Studio 1535 is a competent performer when it comes to work and play. It may also be the first midsized portable to have a full-HD panel as an option.

Strong multimedia features which include HDMI and a mini remote control ; fingerprint sensor ; full HD panel option ; optional Blu-ray drive ; aesthetically pleasing touch-sensitive buttons

No S/PDIF digital audio output or subwoofer ; TV tuner not an option ; heavy for a midsize laptop

The Studio series sits nicely between the high-end XPS line and entry-level Inspiron series with a strong set of multimedia features. However, those looking for a more impressive entertainment and gaming experience would find more satisfaction getting...

Good style, High level of connectivity, HDMI, eSATA

Screen could do with a bit of reinforcement, Dell's network tool is highly annoying, Unable to use the 4GB RAM due to 32-bit OS

The Dell Studio 1535 is a good mid-range laptop that fills the gap between premium and mainstream, and offers good quality for the price.

I bought one about a year ago for $1.4k only to have it mess up on the first day. I spent 6 months getting replacements on: hard drive x2, RAM, Charger x2, Wireless card x 1 etc. accompanied by many other problems including a stuck pixel straight out...

Decent design, but doesnt hold a candle to macbook pro etc

Absolutely everything else. DO NOT BUY . Terrible, terrible service
