Dell Inspiron 17-3721

A large screen, good performance, nice price, and user-friendly features give the Dell Inspiron 17-3721 budget laptop a leg up on the competition.

Nice price. HDMI out, Ethernet, DVD burner. Numeric keypad. Textured lid and palm rest. Large screen. Removable battery.

Cons: USB 3.0 ports are black. USB 2.0 ports can be confused with USB 3.0 ports. Not 1080p. No Touch screen.

With decent battery life and a surprisingly light weight for a 17-laptop, the Dell Inspiron 1750 (2211MBU) is a smart choice for bargain hunters looking for a big-screen laptop.

Huge 17.3-inch display for small price. Thin and light for desktop replacement. Pleasing design. Respectable battery life. Spacious hard drive.

Display falls short of 1080p HD playback. No HDMI port or Blu-ray support. No 802.11n Wi-Fi. Integrated Intel graphics limits performance.
