Dell Latitude D430 with U7700 User Review

The screen construction is also impressive, but not as much as the chassis' construction. As with most laptop screens, the display can be twisted a little bit ... but not nearly as much as other laptops I have encountered. The bezel has one small weak...

Basic configuration of D430 is plenty powerful and fairly priced ; Chassis is very well built, LCD bezel is fairly strong ; Excellent keyboard and mousepad ; Portability/small size, but still being powerful enough for moderately intensive tasks ; Sharp...

Ambient light sensor is not very useful for me ; WiFi switch is worthless, get rid of it ; Viewing angles are not the best ; External DVD drive ; HDD transfer speeds are okay for general use, but slow for most other things ; Speaker needs to be improved

Overall, my future experiences with Dell look to be very promising, which is a welcome turnaround considering how far in disrepair I felt Dell's services were a few years ago. Times have changed and Dell definitely has turned their act around for the...

Dell Latitude D430 User Review

compact and light; durable magnesium case; workmanship; long battery runtime; bright, non-reflecting WXGA display; very fast SSD hard disk; fingerprint reader; docking port; nearly absolutely quiet with office applications

Dell Latitude D430

Andy spends some time with Dell's updated ultra-portable. Is this another hit for its Latitude range?

An intuitively designed, durable and well featured ultra-portable, the lack of an integrated optical drive is the only reasonable complaint one can place against the D430. As such, if you're after a notebook that's easy to live with and will last as...

Dell Latitude D430

Great for executives on the move thanks to size and decent battery life, but the missing optical drive disappoints.

DELL D430

Got it when they said it would come. The laptop appears to work fine, in really good shape. Had to use an old Dell adapter to charge the battery

Power supply was D.O.A. I'm trying to figure out how to contact NewEgg to get a replacement sent to me

Good choice on the ultraportable market

Good computer, solid, screen is bright and definitely activate the brightness sensor in the Bios for an even more impressive experience. Has an incorporated mic that you can use for chatting. The 9-cell battery provides a bit over 5 hours of continuous...

It is a bit noisy, and it can get hot on your lap! For a Core Duo with 2 GB of RAM, the computer should feel faster, but it doesn't (Advice: downgrade to XP and then you'll have a fast experience at your fingertips). Could really use an integrated web...

D430

Tiny package with plenty of options.

Takes cooling air from the bottom and the computer might be too near to the table surface to get enough air to the inlets.

Great machine...but...

I understand that the solid state hard drive dramatically increases speed and reduces noise. Perhaps such a hard drive would make this machine perfect. Unfortunately, I have the 80GB 5400rpm. --Specially NOTE: I have had nothing but excellent customer...

Size: you won't be reading this if you are not looking for a small laptop. This one is a featherwight in size but heavyweight in power.

Speed: it is a little slower than I expected, but not bad. I have the max 2GB RAM.
