Dell Latitude D600 review: Dell Latitude D600

Respectable performance; light, well-designed case; DVD+RW drive; 802.11b/g wireless; long warranty and comprehensive support.

Mediocre battery life.

With a well-rounded combination of speed, features, and service, Dell's Latitude D600 remains among the most versatile enterprise laptops available.

Dell Latitude D600

The Dell Latitude D600 is a solid business system with good features and components.

As a corporate notebook, the Dell Latitude D600 has the features to please. But to get better bang for the buck—and double the battery life—look to the HP Compaq nc6000.

Excellent battery life, inexpensive to replace

The indicator at the bottom is an easy way to look and see how much power you have left. It also saved my butt once when I thought my Inspiron 600M laptop had a motherboard problem. It turned out that the battery was simply dying because I had had it...

Dell Latitude D600 (Centrino)

Dell Latitude D600

Ars Technica reviews the Dell Latitude D600 laptop. Is this Centrino portable a worthy challenger to the ThinkPad.

When it comes down to Centrino laptops, there's the IBM T4x series, and then there is the slew of similarly-sized, -priced, and -speced options from the other manufacturers. If you have the extra dough, the quality of construction of the T41 is enough...

Good performance standards; Appreciable customer service; Preferential software

Heat problem in the left wrist handling position; Absence of fire wire ports; Little heavier than other similar laptops

Dell Latitude D600 comes across as a simple and standard laptop. Performance levels are pretty moderate and functional. They are same as other laptops offering the same categories of features. There is no great hype to any of the functions. All perform...

Dell - Latitude D600

As with all its notebook lines, Dell has recently re-vamped the corporate Latitude range, giving these laptops a smarter look as well as the latest Intel mobile technology. The Latitude D series is the top of ...

The Latitude D600 is a worthy successor to the previous range of Latitudes, with good performance and battery life. The one slightly annoying thing about it is that it doesn't accept the previous version's modular drives, so there's no upgrade path if...
