Dell Latitude D610 Review (pics, specs)

The Dell Latitude D610 is a new thin-and-light laptop available through the Dell Small Business site. The D610 uses the new Pentium M Sonoma platform of processors and is geared towards business users that want a no-frills laptop that just allows you...

Quite portable (5.4 lbs with DVD drive, 12.44x10.3x1.5 inches) Excellent build quality -- very solid feel with nice keyboard Very fast & responsive system Decent SXGA+ screen 4 USB ports

Terrible audio through the headphone jack -- noticeable hiss Fan is always on Slight electrical buzz with attached USB devices Physical switch for wireless would have been nice A little thicker than comparable notebooks

Overall I'm very happy with this machine. I think it would suit the mobile professional or student who needs a portable yet fast and responsive system for business and office applications quite well. I am especially impressed with the build quality and...

Dell Latitude D610

The D610 is ready for any road you may travel. This mainstream business notebook is built for serious mobile performance, incorporating Intel's latest-generation Centrino platform. It's also fairly light (5.4 pounds) and has very good battery life (4...

Screen shows very good contrast. Excellent wireless performance

OpenManage suite lacks integration (you have to launch each component separately)

The Dell Latitude D610 strikes a good balance by offering the latest technology within a very luggable 5.4-pound frame. We also like that it comes with four USB ports (up from two in the previous model) and a host of other features.

Dell Latitude D610

it's very much par for the second-generation Centrino course

Poor value, Lack of any real bite

As for the image quality of the unit's own 14.1-inch LCD display, however, we've some serious dirt to dish. Unfortunately, it's the worst kind of old-school LCD panel. Colours are washed out with poor contrast, while viewing angles can only be...

Dell Latitude D610 review

Incorporating a handful of minor improvements, Dell's trusty Latitude D610 thin-and-light is an all-around solid business laptop

Well-designed case ; Competent performance ; Decent battery life ; Includes all the ports and connections most business users need ; Swappable bay for optical drive ; Solid manageability and security software ; Standard three-year warranty ; Unlimited,...

Somewhat expensive

For security, the Latitude D610 features a Trusted Platform Module -- a chip on the laptop's motherboard that encrypts and stores secret information which can be accessed only with a key code that you establish. Our system came preloaded with Microsoft...

DELL Latitude D610 Refurbished Notebook Intel Pentium M 725(1.60GHz) 14.1" 1GB Memory 40GB HDD DVD-ROM

I am sure it is a good choice for a starter laptop, just a shame someone does not test unit before shipment to customer.

With out battery installed , booted up and operated normal (using ac adapter )

Battery would not charge nor allow laptop to function when battery installed
