Dell Latitude E4200 - Pricey Competition for the Apple Macbook

Dell's new Latitude E4200 PC features a solid state drive in a tiny PC packed full of features in order to make it compete with Apple's smaller sized Macbook computers. The only problem is that this Dell costs more, and has fewer features!

Dell Latitude E4200/E4300 Linux Launchpad team

Hi, I took the liberty of creating a launchpad team for the people who own or develop for the Dell Latitude E4200/E4300 laptops, so that we can have more visibility upstream when having to ask for patches or support. ...

Awesome Company

I have bought 3 laptop computer systems from Dell. I am more than 100% satisfied with my products. I have always had outstanding customer service from Dell no matter how big or small my questions. I would , and have highly recommended Dell to other...

Must have for Dell E series notebooks

Must have for Dell E series notebooks

Take it out of the box, plug in the peripherals, dock the notebook and press the power button. Its that easy. If you spend more than a couple of hours in an office each week, then you need a docking station.

Good, but many detractions

Needs a webcam and a larger trackpad.

I really like the small form factor and the screen. It is an excellent amalgamation of current technologies into a small form factor. Other pluses include the lack of flashy lights and the amazsing backlit keybaord. Really, the keyboard is top-notch

I hope you have small hands becuase this computer has an infuriatingly small wrist-rest section. Really, Dell? Could you have pushed the keys back another half-inch and made this thing perfect? How about a webcam while you are at it? The modern...

Too much money for too little quality

I am a long-term Dell customer and reseller. I have been faithful, but sadly, this one makes it hard for me to support. When you spend a significant amount of money, you expect it to be top quality all around. Perfomance is fine. Exterior quality is...

Lightweight

SCRATCHES, SCRATCHES, SCRATCES: I am super careful with my laptops and to discover these blemishes upon taking it out of my bag 2 days into my ownership sickened me

4200 review

If you liked the D20 or D30 (I had both) you will LOVE this machine. Get the solid state dr. You will notice it is similar size, yet miuch lighter and performs better as you might have wished with the D series.

really light, thin, built well

Mouse feezes occassionally

Excellent super-light laptop

Dell needs to streamline the installation of drivers and software. Pack them up into 1 simple package or something. Mine came with XP pre-loaded. I reformatted it and installed Vista Business. It took me 2 days trying to figure out which...

Extremely light, even with the 6-cell battery. When I took it out of the box, I was amazed on how light it is

Very pricey for new ones. Buy refurbished
