Review Dell Latitude E5430 Notebook

A sense of balance. Dell's newest 14-inch Latitude seeks a perfect balance of cost, practicality, and portability, bolstered most notably by its newfound optional Ivy Bridge chipset. Is the E5430 everything the budget-conscious businessperson has been...

Excellent build quality, Function-over-form design, First-rate backlit keyboard, Great battery life, Exemplary performance, A smartly-designed notebook that clearly knows its place in the business market. All of the essentials are covered

Loud under moderate to heavy stress, Also quite warm under load, Screen is bright but lacks sRGB coverage and contrast ratio, A little more plastic than we'd like to see, Less noise and heat under load and perhaps an option for a better-quality screen...

Dell Latitude E5430

The Dell Latitude E5430 laptop is for veteran users who can't let go of VGA monitors, ExpressCards, and optical discs.

Anti-glare screen. Decent battery life for third-generation Intel Core processor. Removable battery. Lots of legacy ports.

Screen a little dull. 1,366 by 768 resolution screen. Some fan noise during heavy computing runs.

Dell Latitude E5430

With the laptop world steaming full throttle to the land of thin and light, the Dell Latitude E5430 might seem like a bit of a throwback, or at least an unglamorous workhorse. The fact is, though, not everyone needs a super-slim notebook—or the price...

Snappy performance ; Excellent battery life and power management features ; Very comfortable keyboard deck

A bit heavy and bulky for a 14-inch laptop ; Initial glitches accessing our home network

This Dell offering won't charm lovers of thin and light notebooks, but its impressive performance and battery life along with a reasonable price and good looks make it a tantalizing package for keyboard jocks more concerned with productivity than...

Great laptop with everything I was looking for!

I am really happy with this purchase the laptop had everything as advertised plus a 500 gig hard drive when a 320 gig hard drive was advertised. Everything worked great, battery 100% charged, and laptop condition was great. I recommend buying from US...

Screaming deal

REDACTED> smokes, what a good deal! I wouldn't have bought it new from Dell for $999 or whatever, but I'm pleased to be able to buy it now for $370.

Bought this for a field tech to use. Came WITH an SSD, which I've been adding to all desktops & notebooks since 8/12. Windows 7 Pro, perfectly adequate RAM and power from the i3. No DVD drive, which combined with as-new appearance makes me think this...

Dell Business Bloatware = time wasted. I'm spoiled by no cruft since all my machines get a drive swap at the outset

Nice Machine

I should have purchased it sooner.

I was looking for a relatively light weight laptop with a matte display and a SSD hard drive. The back lit keyboard was a bonus. As stated in the other reviews, the machine looks like it is brand new

None - a great machine for the money

Looks like new.

I don't think I'll have a problem buying refurbished from Newegg now. Thanks again Newegg,

Looks like a brand new laptop, and works perfectly. I'm glad I bought this one. I had been looking for a laptop for a while, but just couldn't figure out what to get that didn't have win8 on it. I was leery of buying a refurb, but this laptop is great....

You're joking right? There are no cons
