Review Dell Latitude 3440 Notebook

An asocial office playboy. Dell presents the successor of its Vostro 3460 as an affordable office notebook in a snazzy aluminum body. The dedicated graphics also makes the test version interesting for gaming with friends. So much is clear from the...

good display considering the built-in TN panel; relatively stable viewing angles; solid, well-built case; comfortably quiet fan; tireless; successful input devices (after some getting used to it)

somewhat thick and heavy; keyboard layout requires some getting used to; no HDMI; no SD card slot

The very solid and well-made case can be had (in less well-equipped versions) for under 500 Euros (~$685).

Review Dell Latitude 3540 Notebook

Vostro's successor. Dell introduces a new line of laptops with the Latitude 3000 series. We have our hands on the 15.6-inch Latitude 3540. A Haswell ULV processor alongside a matte Full HD screen are to attract both private and professional users. Our...

Good application performance; Decent gaming performance; Matte Full HD screen; Good battery runtimes; Two operating systems (Windows 7/8 Pro); Recovery DVD (Windows 8 Pro only)

No HDMI out; No 3G/LTE modem (cannot be retrofitted); No docking port

Dell omits the digital video port (e.g. HDMI, DisplayPort) in the Latitude. This is inconceivable because every 300 Euros (~$407) laptop sports at least an HDMI port nowadays.

Ultra-Business. Dell has updated its Latitude series and added a

system noise during low load; docking connector; interface layout; WWAN is optionally available; system performance; power consumption; weight; keyboard

system noise during full load; performance falls under full load; no Bluetooth, no fingerprint reader; very high price

just began to update their product range. Lenovo's ThinkPad X240 with IPS display could become a particularly strong competitor.

Review Dell Latitude 3330 Notebook

Working on a budget. For around $500 USD, the Latitude 3330 aims

Inexpensive; Sturdy edges and corners; Long battery life with 6-cell battery; Easily serviceable; Relatively quiet keys with deep travel; WWAN options; Matte screen and good outdoor usability

Not as rigid as the more expensive Latitude E series; Low contrast and inaccurate colors; Very small touchpad; No keyboard backlight or higher resolution options; No fingerprint reader or mSATA support; Very warm surface temperatures; Slow HDD and...

The notebook offers good expandability options and hardware for the price.

Very robust construction ; IP65 certification ; Matte display screen suitable for outdoor use

High purchasing price ; High weight ; Grainy image presentation

The bright 14" display is completely suited to outdoor use, however you have to live with a somewhat coarse presentation

Dell Latitude E7240 review: A nearly-great ultrabook

The Latitude E7240 is solidly made and well connected, delivering impressive performance in a thoughtful design. It's let down by the keyboard and a lack of configuration options, turning what could have been a superb business ultrabook into merely a...

Solid and tough chassis design ; Very good performance ; Mobile broadband (HSPA+) ; Excellent sound quality

Heavy for an ultrabook ; Keyboard has too much flex for comfort ; Limited (all-SSD) storage capacity ; Short on customisation options

Businesses need to achieve business resilience in order to adapt and respond rapidly to threats and opportunities. Think of this IBM white paper as a proactive guide to strengthening your business resiliency management program.

Dell Latitude E7240

The Dell Latitude E7240 Touch sports a vibrant full HD touch display, an excellent keyboard, swift performance and strong security in a sleek design, but its battery life falls short.

Attractive carbon fiber design; Bright and colorful 1920 x 1080 display; Comfortable keyboard; Solid everyday performance; Three-year warranty with onsite service

Below-average battery life; A little pricey

With the Latitude E7240 Touch, Dell has really spruced up its line of business notebooks. We love this laptop's sturdy design and attractive carbon fiber lid. We also appreciate the vivid 1920 x 1080 touch display, excellent keyboard and robust security.

Dell Latitude 3330 review: The embodiment of a no-frills notebook

This budget offering is no bargain if you expect more than basic productivity.

Budget price ; Attractive design

Mushy keyboard ; Only 2.4GHz Wi-Fi networking

Sleek and lightweight, the budget-priced Dell Latitude 3330 makes a good first impression. But it has difficulty running even the most routine multimedia—much less games—because of its bare-bones...
