Review Update Dell Latitude 6430u HD+ Ultrabook

Pixel-dense. Dell's 14-inch business ultrabook is now available w

High resolution; Sturdy construction; Battery is replaceable; High performance; Easy to maintain; Very quiet

Gets a little warm during idle; Keyboard feedback is lacking; Comparatively heavy and thick

Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon, HP EliteBook Folio 9470m, ThinkPad T430u, Asus Pro BU400VC, Fujitsu LifeBook U772; Consumer: Samsung Series 9 900X4B, Asus UX31A/Asus UX32VD.

Review Dell Latitude E6430 Notebook

Ivy evolution. It took a bit over a year before Dell updated its

Extremely stable magnesium/aluminum chassis; Great workmanship; Pleasant feel; Accurate input devices; Good fan management; Well-designed energy saving modes; Comparatively fast application performance; Very energy efficient, long battery life...

Screen is too dark for outdoor use; The - tactually solid - keyboard sometimes produced a (somewhat clattery) loud typing noise

The often listed contenders: Lenovo's Thinkpad T430, HP's Elitebook 8460p, Toshiba's Tecra R840. For making a purchase decision, a scrutinizing look at our Office section will certainly do no harm either.

Review Dell Latitude 6430u Ultrabook

Slimmed down business. As the only Ultrabook thus far to satisfy

Rigid magnesium alloy construction; Removable battery; Fast application performance; Easy serviceability; WWAN options through AT&T/T-Mobile/Sprint; Almost silent during office workloads

Average quality display; Very warm even when idling; Average keyboard feedback; No dedicated docking stations or modular bays; No options yet for higher resolution display; Slightly heavier and thicker than many competing Ultrabooks

The rigidity of the notebook makes us feel much more comfortable carrying the notebook around without protective sleeves compared to the usually more fragile ultrathins.

Dell Latitude 6430u (HD+)

The Dell Latitude 6430u (HD+) adds a 1,600 by 900 display to a formidable business laptop, and packs some multimedia oomph as well.

Sweet HD+ (1,600 by 900) resolution screen. Compatible with WiGig wireless dock. Good keyboard. Good multimedia creation scores
