Review Dell Studio 1557 Notebook

Processor Giant. Slowly, Intel's brand new processor generation C

Very good connectivity with HDMI, FW and eSATA; Very good configuration options; Good workmanship; Available with UMTS and BluRay; Very high processor performance; Including system media; Good battery life at low load; Good input devices; High...

Adapter can get very hot !; Loud operating noise and high case temperatures in conceived target group use; Unbeneficial port distribution; Reflective display with poor contrast; Low battery life at category typical use; Sensitive display lid

Currently, you can't get a quad-core CPU notebook anywhere at that price. Alternatives would be, for example, Acer's Aspire 5940G, Asus' G51, G60, X62 and HP's Pavilion dv6 that all have an i7-720QM.

Review: Dell Studio 15 Notebook

A new addition to the family. Until now, Dell has offered two not

Personalised housing design possible; Robust and compact chassis; Extensive range of peripheral connectivity; Blu-Ray available; Gigabit LAN, UMTS optional; Comfortable input devices; Bright LED display with very good illumination; Extensive equipment...

Positioning of connections; Only displays with reflective surface available; Moderate multimedia performance; Moderate sound output

The Dell Studio is an appealing device for the price conscious multimedia newcomer who places value on an attractively designed case and a good display. Expectations should not be set too high in terms of 3D graphics performance however as the current...

Dell Studio 15 (1558) Review

The $849 Dell Studio 15 isn't perfect, but it's still an excellent, affordable multimedia machine that should be on your short list. It performs better than slightly more expensive systems, although its gaming clout isn't quite up to snuff. However,...

Very comfortable keyboard, Long battery life, Long warranty, Excellent high-resolution webcam, Fingerprint-resistant finish

Non-black lids cost more money, Design a bit bulky

Dell Studio 15z Review - A Review of the Dell Studio 15z

Thin and light for 15-inch notebook, Intel Wireless Display for streaming video, Strong battery life, Speedy hard drive, Comfortable keyboard

Runs warm, Mediocre graphics performance, No VGA port, Low EPEAT rating

Part of Best Buy's exclusive Blue Label lineup of notebooks, the Dell Studio 15z ($949) pairs strong performance with the convenience of Intel's Wireless Display technology for streaming video to your home theater. The notebook's bright 15.6-inch...

Dell Studio 1535

The Dell Studio 1535 is a good mid-range laptop that fills the gap between premium and mainstream, and offers good quality for the price.

Good style, High level of connectivity, HDMI, eSATA

Screen could do with a bit of reinforcement, Dell's network tool is highly annoying, Unable to use the 4GB RAM due to 32-bit OS

Dell Studio 15 Review

The one design element I have mixed feelings about is the bottom access panel. Rather than having the typical RAM cover, hard drive cover, and main panel on the bottom of the notebook, the Studio 15 (like the Studio 17) uses a single, massive panel...

Beautiful design ; Solid selection of available configurations ; Reasonable battery life ; Nice keyboard, touchpad and media buttons ; Great component layout makes for easy upgrades/repair ; Good value for the price

No lugs/screw posts for VGA cable and no docking station connector ; All-in-one access cover on the bottom of the notebook is either great or frustrating ; HDMI with integrated Intel graphics ... bad move ; No option for better graphics than ATI Radeon...

At the end of the day the Studio 15 is a solid offering in the 15-inch consumer notebook category. The build quality, range of customizable options, expandability, style, and price make this an excellent choice if you're in the market for a 15-inch...

Dell Studio 15

Parsing the intended markets for Dell's ever-shifting in-house brand names requires a bit of tea-leaf reading, although it's been easier of late, with the company stripping down its consumer brands to just the Inspiron and XPS lines. Now the company is...

Borrows some of the best design features of the more expensive XPS line; built-in media remote control.

Bulkier than the 15-inch XPS model; just under the wire for new Centrino 2 chips.

Dell's first release from its new Studio line, the Studio 15, sits between the Inspiron and XPS lines and offers a good mix of features for the price, but we'd be tempted to save up a few extra dollars for a thinner, lighter XPS.

Dell Studio 15

You won't be disappointed with the typing experience on the Studio 15, as the keyboard, mouse buttons, and touchpad are engineered to perfection. Like the Apple MacBook Pro 15-inch, the 15's widescreen is backed by LEDs and has a 1,440-by-900...

Outstanding performance scores. XPS design at Inspiron prices. Highly configurable options. Excellent typing experience. Variety of design options. HDMI-out

You'll need the E-Value Code (DNDPUA1). Limited-time offer at this price ; Watch the Dell Studio 15 Video Review

Retaining many of the XPS's qualities while selling it for Inspiron prices is what makes this Studio laptop a winner.
