Dell Venue 11 Pro bets on a full-HD display

 

It costs more than other Atom-powered tablets, but the 1080p screen is a standout feature.

The well-built ; has an excellent full-HD display, plenty of configuration options, and an optional keyboard and docking station. Battery life is also excellent.

That sold-separately keyboard dock suffers from occasional lag and a tiny touch pad, and even low-end configurations are more expensive than other tablets or hybrids.

Betting on a full 1080p display partly justifies the Dell Venue 11 Pro's higher price compared to other Atom-powered tablets. But the keyboard dock add-on, which should turn this into a functional laptop alternative, is too expensive and occasionally...

Great laptop replacement

 

As I mentioned, Dell would like you to believe that a motherboard replacement is necessary to upgrade the ram, but the ram is not integrated at all, and the more expensive model with 8gb of ram is identical in every way. Standard 204 pin DDR3 SO-DIMM...

Where to start ; 1) Fast ultrabook processor with plenty of virtual cores for everyday use ; 2)Upgradeable ram (takes a little know-how to take it apart, but it takes standard 204 pin SO-DIMM DDR3 laptop ram, not integrated like they want you to...

Only gripe is that some form of stylus holder would have been nice, but I understand not everyone gets the stylus for it. Plus, the magnets used for docking act as a great holster for it (more on that later)
