Good and bad

 

reasonable performance for footprint, spec, design and price (good competitor for the same size VAIOs, a MAC killer this is not design wise)

1st unit delivered was faulty (see additional thoughts)

Pretty and did I mention pretty...That's about all I can say in this category

crash...crash...crash..if you like the dreded blue screen you will love this machine. I've had it two weeks and I've seen more blue screens on this machine than in all the machines in a fifty year carrier...And at a wopping $3000.00 + I'm not sure if...

XPS 13 VS STUDIO XPS 13

 

NO BLUE SCREEN ERRORS, NO NOTHING Everybody says they had errors, which I didnt have. It takes a while to set up vista, but.. just no more than 4 minutes. If you want something ultraportable... bbuy the xps 13... but if you want strong performance.....

I had the xps 13, and someone stole it

The first thing I noticed is that.. in fact.. in gets hot.. very hot. BUT!!! Now Im updating bios and vista.. it seems like the fan is slowing down and everything is getting well done

Design Flaws

 

I work for a large global technology company. I am the first to play with every piece of technology that comes through my company. My VP wanted to get the XPS M1330. Although this is not a business class machine, I found it to be a great laptop with...

Looks pretty. I like that they kept up with technology and added connection ports for HDMI and eSATA

Not able to use a docking station - If you want to put this computer on a desk all audio inputs/outputs are located in the front of the machine taking away from its pretty looks

I have a system replacement on order to and hopefully the problems are just my unit specific. Way too many problems for a top model.

Overall it looks good when it is clean. Display is very nice. HDMI output is great addition

Glossy finish is hard to keep looking clean. Only one USB port! System freezes at least 2-3 / day. Not sure if it is a Windows Vista 64bit problem or the solid state drive may have a bug in it. Also some drivers mysteriously got deleted so it was a...

Shopped around on the net and in stores with all different brands before buying and definitely do not regret it....I have a Lenovo T series for work and like the Dell better

Keyboard, display, looks, Size

Except for battery life none now that I have downloaded the bios update and no longer burn my legs.....Dell please make a 9 cell battery that extends out the back instead of the bottom that wouldmake it perfect

Okay Laptop but has quite a bit of flaws

 

I got this laptop a week ago and i was really impressed with the packaging and the looks. Today i am writing this review because i am really mad at the same laptop. The USB posts are loose. Whenever i put the laptop on the table it sounds like its got...

Looks nice, Keyboard is really awesome, WLED display is also nice, Okay performance

Gets really hot with only firefox running. The high gloss gets really bad fingerprints

Great Laptop

 

I almost didn't buy this laptop because of reviews saying it runs hot and freezes. Then I heard that the latest bios update fixes the problem, and decided to give it a try. First thing I did was update BIOS and download new drivers. Laptop runs great....

Fast, back lit keyboard, nice LED screen, Very Quiet, 7200RPM hard drive, hybrid SLI
