ASUS Eee PC T101MT

The ranking of the ASUS Eee PC T101MT in our lineup of tablet PCs is indicative of the device's overall functionality and performance. It's far from the most powerful, versatile or slick tablet PC on the market. However, it caters to a small market of...

It's a budget-friendly tablet PC that has an easy-to-view matte screen and a 6.5-hour battery life

The plastic chassis feels chintzy, and a low-power processor and RAM impede the device's processing speed

If low cost isn't your biggest priority, we recommend considering other tablet PCs on the market.

Asus Eee PC T101MT review

The Asus Eee PC T101MT is a netbook that converts into a tablet with a multi-touch screen. That may sound like a good idea, but a poor display and sluggish performance make for a disappointing device.

Good build quality ; Decent keyboard ; 2GB of RAM is more than the netbook norm

Poor screen ; Thick and heavy ; Awkward to use in tablet mode

We're underwhelmed by the Asus Eee PC T101MT. The screen is very poor and the overall touch experience in Windows 7 still leaves much to be desired. The machine's hybrid approach may sound like a good idea on paper but, in practice, it's not. We'd...

Asus - Eee PC T101MT

Netbooks are all about low price tags and portability. Incorporating a weight-inducing touchscreen into one and slapping a £450 price tag on it might, therefore, seem like an odd decision. However, that hasn't stopped netbook-pioneer Asus ...

If you think you'll make use of the touchscreen display, the Eee PC T101MT is worth taking a look at. However, you really do need to make good use of it to justify the rather high price tag. If you can live without a touchscreen, there are cheaper...

Cheap DC-In and Terrible Service from ASUS

The 2 gb of ram and the touch screen are definite advantages. It functions almost as well as a full scale laptop

The DC-In was defective and no longer made a connection to the charger, after only a few months of use mainly as a home computer. The ASUS service partner refused to fix the computer under a legitimate global warranty

Nvidia's idea of a replacement for my HP TX1000

All in all, someone wanting a NETBOOK and NOT a NOTEBOOK this is a perfect choice but I traded in a $1000.00 TX1000 Notebook Tablet in the Nvidia Settlement and received a $300 - $400.00 NETBOOK-Tablet in return. Not a happy camper with Nvidia or HP for...

For someone that wants a SMALL 10.1" netbook this is GREAT after you add 1GB of Ram to speed it up. Nice touch screen and 180* turning for a notebook effect

Windows 7 Starter SUCKS but is upgradable up to Ultimate and inbetween. Won't hold a candle to the HP TX1000, no Optical drive, no expansion port for my docking station, video chip won't support a Blu-Ray player for Blu-Ray's but will play regular DVD's a

Be mindful of the Specs

I would agree with another of the reviewers that as a student with a low to modest budget looking for a versatile mobile computing device, the ASUS Eee PC T101MT would fill the bill very nicely.

The draw for units like these is the fact they are part laptop, and part tablet. We purchased 32 for student classroom use and expect the ability to function as either to better suit the personal learning style of students ; We like this machine for...

Windows 7 Starter??? Really? Who could possibly use it with that loaded? When the units were ordered, we also ordered licenses to upgrade to Win 7 pro, and add another gig of RAM ; This is where the title of this review comes in to play. Be very...
