Eurocom D900F Review

Our notebook benchmarks had barely recovered from the wailing they took at the hands of AVADirect's Core i7/SLI-wielding X8100 (reviewed June) when Eurocom's D900F arrived to inflict further punishment. At least this time around they suffered a...

Core i7-980X; capable graphics; big, bright screen; fully featured

Limited portability; pricey as hell

No, this isn’t the notebook you take to the café in order to work over a cappuccino. Instead, it’s a solid, serious machine with six cores of processing might that can perform all the functions of a full tower—albeit, for a full-tower price.

Eurocom D900F Panther (2010 Version)

This $4,000 uber-laptop offers record-breaking speed with plenty of 3D horsepower. If money's not an issue, it's a great pick for gaming, content creation, and entertainment use.

The Panther is a huge, heavy beast, but it offers performance rivaling that of the fastest desktop PCs.

Blazing performance, Large, bright screen, Supports up to four hard drives, Very good keyboard

Poor battery life, Expensive, Large and heavy, Doesn't support monitor resolutions greater than 1,920x1,200

Eurocom D900F Panther review

The 'Panther' bit isn't referring to the not-so-lithe chassis

Excellent performance

Back-breakingly heavy ; Overpriced ; Proper mobile Core CPUs coming

It's not the weight that bothers us, it's that the same can be had for less elsewhere
