Solid machine

So far it seems like a solid, great machine. The speed is impressive, the graphics are wonderful. The battery barely hits 2 hours. But everything else seems to be running wonderfully. Would have liked to see it with XP but it seems that all PC's now...

get what you pay for.

the price can't be beat

machine can be painfully slow at times ; Touchpad is garbage--you can't type without simultaneous moving the cursor all over the screen. Touchpad doesn't automatically shut off when an external mouse is plugged in ; battery life is 2.5 hours tops

Product Specifications

The Lenovo G555 is a nice mid-range laptop which has a large body, nice screen, and decent specs. It sports a 15.6" screen, and the ATI graphics can support HD content playback. The body is smooth and is one of the nicer-looking laptops out there. The keyboard is specifically designed to be ergonomic, something many other laptop manufacturers pay little attention to. It’s powered by an energy efficient AMD processor, which means that you get longer battery life. The 160 GB hard drive is a little smaller than most other laptops, but it still should be plenty big enough for most people. The Lenovo G555 strikes a nice compromise between a large, well-designed body, and a cheaper, lower-power inside.
